Re: New (to me) M&P15-22

I've had one for many months now. I tried shooting it with iron sights and decided I'm just too old (or inexperienced) for that. I added a cheap scope and finally got a chance to sight it in and do some plinking. Me and some of my buddies had a blast with it. My only complaint is that the trigger is...

Re: What is an "Illegal Knife" ?

It is my understanding that cities can have their own laws defining illegal knives. E.g. In San Antonio, lock blade knives are illegal.

Re: Need advice about protecting firearms from theft

I came up with a unique solution for my own circumstances. I have a securevault that I bought from academy and cannot secure it to the wall or floor. I went to radioshack and bought some components to make a custom alarm system which I wired to a sensor that would trip if anyone removed it from the...

Re: Government's right to track you with GPS

This article touches on a closely related subject. I think this captures the issue nicely: Justice Louis Brandeis wrote in his dissent in the first Supreme Court wiretapping case, Olmstead vs. United States (1928): “Discovery and invention have made it possible for the Government, with means far mo...

Re: CHL holder killed by police in Las Vegas at a Costco

I just received this response to my email: Thank you for your recent email regarding Clark County Coroner’s Inquest process.  During the September 5, 2010 Clark County Board of Commissioners’ meeting a nine-member committee was established to examine the current inquest process for police officer in...

Re: Police charge five "legal" open carry citizens in Wiscon

Beating the dead horse here . . . "Subject" doesn't necessarily have to mean one who is ruled over. If someone is being investigated, they are the subject of the investigation. I think it's fair to say that the police were, at least, sent to investigate. If you're taking a class, you are ...

Re: CHL holder killed by police in Las Vegas at a Costco

Over the weekend I got an Facebook message from the Erik Scott page requesting that I e-mail the County Commisioners. Here's the message (I believe that copying this is OK since it came from MY Facebook account): WE NEED TO CHANGE THE INQUEST PROCESS! They meet next Tuesday, October 5th. Please emai...

Re: John Lott, author of "More Guns, Less Crime", coming to

If I make it tonight, I'll pitch in some cash to help out. Really trying/hoping to make it now. Also I'll do this ... anyone who contributes cash (at least $20?) toward this I'll give them half-price on their next CHL renewal or a new license class. Will have to get with Codename46 to figure out wh...

Re: Maryland State P.O.'s Misconduct Raises Important questi

A Harford County Circuit Court judge Monday dismissed wiretapping charges against Anthony Graber, a motorcyclist who was jailed briefly after he taped a Maryland state trooper who stopped him for speeding on I-95. Graber used a camera mounted on his helmet, then posted the video on YouTube. http://...
