Even before flying with pre Check, I never had a problem leaving my iPad in a bag. They only want laptop sized electronics and larger in it's own bin. A USMC Nam vet friend of mine told me how they'd burn small pieces. That evidently stopped when one of the guys in his unit stomped it out with his boot.

I wasn't trying to prove anything. I was simply correcting what I thought at the time was erroneous information. I see now that I misread that part of your post and I apologize for that. :tiphat:
