Also assuming if the "bar" is 51%
Im not being sarcastic, but some "bars" are not 51%... Bar Louie, Baybrook Mall for example is not. (Bar Louie in other locations are)

Re: Poker Room
At the one in Clear Lake area, several people carry there (so a couple of my friends who go there tell me)
Some carry openly
My only concern, from a legal point, is that I believe the statute talks about “paramutual” betting - and if so, I would think that a poker room would meet that definition

Re: Houston Folks: PSC Range Day after Christmas?
I go to PSC just about every weekend & I have put up an invite several times but no takers yet, if anyone wants to go just pm me. Same for me, I have offered many times, no takers. Now however, my weeks are hugely busy and my weekends have been too busy doing my weekday stuff that I couldn't fi...

Re: Sig Mosquito or Walther P22?
Mosquito only likes CCI ammo
P22, with the short barrel, is finicky to cycle properly all the time, with other than CCI ammo
If you get the P22 and then the extended barrel, it will eat all ammo easily

As you would be carrying as a private citizen under your LTC authority, the answer would be no.

Re: Jury duty in Houston tomorrow
I have served on six jury's, everything from a civil trial to a capital murder trial. I ALWAYS get picked. I am a Marine, retire Delta Pilot and a Paramedic. I just don't understand why I get picked. I answer their questions honestly but to the point. I try to look bored and totally non-caring. I s...

.... the refusee, if you will, then has their vehicle towed away and impounded while the L.E.O. gets a search warrant. You are then left to walk home or call your spouse to come get you, a cab, a friend, etc. In my opinion this is an abuse of power. Let them TOW my vehicle My lawyer (I don't have o...

otherwise fishing. Most times they are "fishing" for something that they can hook you up on. I will always be respectful to an officer who is doing his duty (even if I don't agree with his methods). If asked for ID, I would give it, as I am always carrying and the law states (even without...

From a weapon (knife or gun or other) point of view, leave them in your car or other mode of transport - or worse case, at home. if chosen, you will not have time to take things back to your car. From a non-weapon point of view, I always take a backpack with: 1-2 waters/soft-drinks snack(s) portable...

Re: NRA Carry Guard - Level 1 Training
Thank you for the recap, I am interested to learn more about this course. Firstly, WOW 1,200 rounds over 3 days, that's a lot of shots downrange! Can you give an approximate or actual cost of the course itself, not counting any travel, ammo or other costs. I don't know if NRA structures the cost or ...

I have the same issue - albeit not frequently.
I have not found a fix, but make a habit when I pull it from my pocket and bang the bottom of the mag, just in case
