Re: SOG Armory reviews?

If you are referring to the company in Houston, I have had some limited experience with them. They seem to be a good company overall. However, their pricing is often times exorbitant (as in over MSRP). Buyer beware.

SOLD: Larue LT133 mount for PVS-14

Like new. Slight wear marks from mounting and adjustment but otherwise perfect. Just decided this wasn't the thing for me. Comes with mount, star hex wrench, and throw lever adjustment wrench. +1. It's mounted backwards...

Nice rifle though. Big fan of KISS carbines.

Since you enjoy your scope setup, if you do end up getting BUIS in the future, perhaps you can look at some offset irons.

Re: I want to improve the trigger on my M&P's

I would love to get the APEX trigger on my M&P 40c but I too am afraid that I would mess it up. I tried to go to Dury's gun shop in San Antonio and I was told they do not do trigger jobs on the M&P. My question is where can I go to get this trigger job done by someone who KNOWS what they ar...

Re: gun shows & chl

Why leave your mag in the car, you got other pockets? The ammo rule is beyond stupid since you can buy ammo and mags right there in the place. You really want to be defenseless possibly carrying a lot of cash and a shiny unloaded pistol? I empty the chamber in the car and stick the mag in my front ...

Re: My First EBR

Your rail is free floating, isn't it? If so, I wouldn't recommend bridging your front scope mount across the gap to the rail. Doing so could result in inability to maintain a reliable zero. I get what you're saying here. but what would be the difference if it were not free floating? For example, if...

Re: gun shows & chl

There have been a few times when I have gone to a show and was carrying. I am aware that they don't allow loaded weapons of any kind so I leave my mag and +1 in the car, but I take my weapon with me. Upon arriving at the desk where the officers put zip ties through any firearms, I would present my w...

If you intend to do one-handed manipulation of the CH it shouldn't be an issue.

Re: Cheaper Than Dirt shipping costs

I refuse to buy from CTD. When BHO took office and the ammo scare occurred, they were price gouging on their ammo. It was in the neighborhood of $0.90-1.00 per round of Federal XM193 5.56. I was disgusted that a Texas company would stoop to such levels. It literally made me sick to my stomach. I go ...

Re: 10.5" build input

Looking good. Two questions: 1. Why the MUR upper receiver? Not that I mind, because I've had a VIS upper before and I love VLTOR's stuff. It's pretty rigid and would be more suited for a precision build. You could save an ounce or two and some money. 2. The Noveske 10.5" barrel is nice. Howeve...

Re: Mossberg 930SPX vs. Benelli M4/Tactical

I've had experience with all three shotguns, the Mossie 930, the Benelli M4 and the FN SLP. Two of my buddies have the Mossie. One of them was GTG from the first shot. The other buddy had to send his back to Mossberg three times to fix FTE problems. The Mossberg and the FN SLP are virtually identica...
