Re: TSA: coming to a roadway near you
Used to be a standard nazi phrase in the movies: "papers please." Well, we may see the day here in the U. S. when citizens have to carry their papers (but not any of the illegals!!!) I suspect there are lots of citizens who have had enough of this. There are entire communities in Californi...

Re: TSA: coming to a roadway near you
Let me get this straight. They refuse to defend the southern border, but choose to sue Arizona and Alabama for those states' enforcement of immigration law. They refuse to build the Congressionally mandated border fence, but they put Smokey and the Bandit on the road in Tennessee to catch those wasc...

Re: Can U.S. legally kill a citizen overseas
I don't think we have to re-invent the wheel on this one. I understand that Abraham Lincoln was faced with similar arguments during the War Between the States, and that Americans who chose to serve under the Confederate flag were determined NOT to be entitled to criminal court proceedings. They, lik...

Re: Obama DOJ to eliminate the BATFE?
If the BATFE is terminated as an agency, then it will slow down the process of responding to Congressional requests for documents in the Gun Runner investigation. It's a simple shell game tactic. It is designed to provide cover for Obama and Eric Holder until after the November 2012 election. Nothin...

Re: Why is the MSM ignoring Gunwalker?
I saw the CBS thing too. People have done federal time for lying to Congress. Scooter Libby did less than what Holder did, and Libby was convicted (albeit in a federal investigation, not lying to Congress). Now Holder says he misunderstood the question put to him by Issa, when Holder was under oath....

Re: Why is the MSM ignoring Gunwalker?
G_d bless Issa and Grassley. They are doing the lion's share of the work. Hope they can get Holder's attention away from suing the states long enough to get him to respond to their requests for documents and information. Being Obama's liar in chief is very taxing work for Holder. So many lies to tel...

Re: Why is the MSM ignoring Gunwalker?
Although the party roles are reversed, this reminds me more of Iran-Contra back in the 80s. The difference? Well, back in the 80s there were Congressional Republicans willing to participate in a joint committee (both houses of Congress, both parties) to preserve Congressional power over what was per...

While you're at it, save a little of that tar and feathers for the numbskulls that said I have to use a small tank on my toilet and who said I can no longer use my light bulbs. COME ON already! I've had enough of this. ![rules :rules:](./images/smilies/rules.gif)

Re: That lousy attitude...no decency
I've heard Krugman's political allies defend him because he's been given a Nobel prize for economics. Sort of a reverse of the ad hominem attack. Well, let's see . . . the Nobel folks have also given peace prizes to Arrafat and Obama. A terrorist and a newly-inagurated empty suit. I'm not so impress...

Re: “State officials have the right to act as a check on the
We have the federal and state constitutions serving as a check on the power of a tyrannical democratic majority: for example, the people (through their elected legislatures) have the power to pass anti-gun, or anti-free speech measures. The constitution protects the rights of the people (even if it ...

Re: Feds Fight "Victim" status for Brian Terry
I've said it before. Holder has taken the Justice Department to the depths of the gutter. They are now unable to recognize guilt or shame. There needs to be a wholesale house cleaning at Justice, because the rot now reaches well beyond Washington. That's such a shame.

Re: Project Gunrunner reply from my Senator
:) My lame attempt at humor . . . that's what the "well" was intended to convey. It is amazing that a state as large as Texas has had either no influence (like today) or has had strongmen like LBJ and Sam Rayburn on the liberal side. No, I'm not an LBJ fan. But neither am I a Cornyn or Hut...

Re: Project Gunrunner reply from my Senator
KBH is playing out the string by phoning it in. She should have resigned, like she claimed she would, in connection with the governor's race. We are not well represented in the senate, even though Texas is a large state. We should have more leadership, like we once did with such as LBJ and John Towe...

Re: Sen Grassley spanks Holder
Reports now seem to say that the Feds were running guns both to the Zetas and to the Sinaloa cartels. Makes me wonder if someone was hoping they would finish each other off. Some of the cartels have been fighting each other for turf for a while now. ![confused5 :confused5](./images/smilies/confused5.gif)
