Re: Harrold ISD - They have it right
That is correct. If a school wants to allow CHL holders to carry inside buildings, they already have that power in the current law. Also, it's legal to carry in vehicles in school parking lots, and on campus if you stay outside building, except for private schools that give valid 30.06 notice.

Re: Where can I carry?
If you have a CHL, you can carry anywhere except private property posted 30.06 and the places prohibited by law. The law doesn't make concert halls off limits but I don't know if it's posted. You can check http://texas3006.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The DSO FAQ say...

Re: Legality of 30:06 Signs
They can have any size signs they want on private property but other people aren't breaking the law if they don't receive notice, and notice is defined clearly in the law.

Re: Renewing While in the Middle East
I disagree. The problem is the renewal class. For everyone. Most other states don't require a class for renewals. After this legislative session, I will recommend friends get a license from a state that (a) doesn't require classes for renewals, (b) doesn't deny civil rights at colleges, and (c) does...

What's next? If SB905 passes, contact Perry and let him know he should veto the bill. Without the proposed amendment even he would be in the same boat as the rest of us. Only legislators are deem "special". I thought the "special" people included state wide elected officials. Bu...

No. Police don't either because that logic goes against their emotion-driven opposition to open carry.tacticool wrote:Does open carry by security guards count?
Psychologically speaking, it has a lot in common with the emotion-driven opposition to campus carry.

Re: Campus Carry. What Happened?
So, how do you get from saying it has a good chance of passing to here? Well, let's look at it this way; it made it way farther than any prior legislation has gone. In that case, we need to mobilize against Ogden, Lucio and Gallegos in the senate, but be we need to focus most of our effort in getti...

Neo-Texans are allergic to firearms in general. Opposition to civil rights at college showed that clearly.hirundo82 wrote:Practically you may have an issue since Texans are known to be allergic to firearms visibly carried by someone not in uniform.

What's next? Gearing up to defeat 1/3 of the senate (including some lying, back-stabbing Republicans) and 1/2 of the house.
