Re: Convince me that constitutional carry is a good thing

I say teach it in school along with driver ed, sex ed, and phys ed. Maybe throw in a semester of civics while we're at it. Problem solved. Seems to me if a HS can sponsor a skeet shooting club, it only makes sense to offer a firearms safety course for the entire school population. Oh, some parents ...

Re: Notify LEO You're Armed?

I've had three LEO contacts within the last 8 months. The first was in the beautiful burb of Lorena, TX, along I35. That was obviously a speed trap and nothing I said or did would change the eventual outcome of my contact. Yes, I did contribute over $200 to Lorena's general fund. However the other t...

WTS - Beautiful 9mm Browning Renaissance Fully Engraved (DFW)

I’m cleaning out an old favorite to make room in the safe. Up for sale is a great collector version of Browning’s Hi Power Renaissance 9mm pistol. This great addition is rated at 94%, and has been lightly fired by a previous owner. It is fully hand engraved on a satin nickel finish, and held by faux...

WTS: Browing Renaissance 9MM

Up for sale is a virtual pristine Browning Hi Power Renaissance 9mm. Original engraved satin nickel finish – 4in barrel. I inherited this from my uncle in the mid 90’s, and its been sitting in my safe since then. There has been no interest from other family members, so I’m putting this up for sale n...

Colt AR15 Government model

I was talking to a friend the other day about a Colt AR15 government model. He was sharing how much better these rifles were over other AR's. So I looked up the government models and did not find any characteristics that really make it stand out fron other Colts. So, do anyone know the main distinct...

Re: WTS: Ruger 77/357 Rifle LNIB Never Fired

Have you had any problems with this model yet? I've been told by an "expert" that the model 77 is to frail to handle the 357 mag's pressures, and over time the reciever will have issues. What is your assessment of this rifle? Thanks!

Re: DFW get together at Elm Fork 4/6/2013

*raises hand* If I can make a suggestion that we do shotgun after lunch as we have before. I'd love to shoot some skeet with you again at the meet n greet. Since the last event, I acquired a new Citori for my birthday that I've shot a few times. These are good events to put faces with fake-names. H...

Re: .22 rifle

I saw a Ruger model 77/22 at Bass pro while back. It was goin for around $725 or so. I went home and looked up the price of the 77/22 I bought about 30 years ago from Kay's Jeweler in Normal Illinois. I paid $249. I think the bolt action 22 is the finest model Ruger makes.

Re: Double stack, DA/SA, .45

I love my FNP45. My wife got me the FNP9 for Christmas, so I had to go and get the matching bookend in 45. It's well balanced, handles the recoil well, and fits my hand nicely. I highly recommend as a nightstand 45.
