Don't read or listen to the non-local news for a bit and your view point will increase immeasurably.

Is this what that "Ignorance is bliss" thing is all about?

Re: College Rings?

Only folks I know that still wear their college rings are Aggies. Word. Have mine on now. CPT Jeff - I have a "misc jewelry" rider on my HOI that covers everything but the wife's rock with $0 deductible through USAA. It is very inexpensive compared against the replacement value of an Aggi...

Re: College Rings?

I bought my first Aggie ring as soon as I could before graduation. Had that one stolen out of my cabin while on a ship in Subic Bay. Bought another one soon after, and wound up leaving it in a BOQ room in Yokosuka, Japan. Have often thought of replacing it again, but now the prices are too high to j...

Re: Poll: Spouse's Feelings On Carrying

My wife grew up with her daddy owning guns, as did I. She has never had any desire to get a CHL, but fully supports my gun buying and toting habits. All that being said, When I am away from home on business (which is quite a bit), she still leaves the .45 in place next to the bed.

Love my 9mm. I use it in rotation with my 9mm XDm for shooting IDPA. Never had a problem with it.

Re: who is recruiting new chl holders?

Been working on a buddy of mine for a while. Taken him to the range a couple times to shoot some of my handguns to find what is comfortable to shoot. We're going next weekend to Reliant Center for the gun show to pick up one of his own (a Springfield XDm). I think he is going to wait for the shorter...

Re: Thinking of consolidating calibers. Your thoughts?

I've made the decision not to get into any .40's just to not have to stock another caliber ammo.

I also have a few guns I rarely shoot, but would not sell them unless I was needing the money or room in the safe for something I like better.

Re: ammo on sale

May not do a whole lot of good now, but Pasadena WM had a good supply of Winchester SuperX .22 LR on the shelf a couple days ago. 50 round boxes for 3.97. Must have been about 50 boxes there. First time I've seen that quantity on a shelf in quite a while.

Re: One in the pipe - do you do it?

At the risk of sounding like a bandwagon jumper here, one in the pipe, always. My EDC is a Kahr CW9, so the extra bullet is welcome (an extra 14.2%). Never have had a second thought about carrying this way.
