Wonder what wouldda happened if you had called police and they cleared the house ... :eek6 The surprise r s would become surpris ee s I have no "regular" cell phone, but if I did, I'd call the house and see who answered. I used to have an answering machine which allowed me to list...

Surprise Party
This Friday was my 12 year old's birthday party, and I had arranged for us to go to the house of a friend of mine where she had baked a cake and had some presents. It wasn't really a big party since it was only 5 people in total - me, my 2 girls, my friend and her 4 year old son. We got to the house...

It's not often that you get to stand up for your rights. 4th amendment. If we don't use them we will lose the rights. No ill will intended towards the police as I also would have nothing that I was aware of to hide. They have passed a new law in austin where the APD cannot search your vehicle unles...

Don't let them swipe your drivers license in Texas. Thats a misdemeanor. I'm curious to know more about this. I like this law and wish other states had the same. I know for a fact that this is not the case in Louisiana as I found out the hard way. Mostly, I know this. By the way, you know its the s...

Never, ever consent to a search under any circumstances. If the LEO has probable cause, they don't need your consent, and if they don't have probable cause, then they don't need to be searching your stuff.

Just make sure that none of the perps look like they could be the son of our current President. If you shoot someone who bears such a potential resemblance, then Federal law overrides state laws based on the Zimmerman case.

In Texas TPC 30.04 Burglary of Vehicles indicates that a person commits an offense if, without the effective consent of the owner, he breaks into or enters a vehicle or any part of a vehicle with intent to commit any felony or theft . For the act of burglary of a vehicle only, the penalty is a Clas...

There's a reason why it's legal to open carry an AR-15 with 30 loaded mags in Texas. That's 931 rounds (including the mag that is in the rifle, and the round in the chamber).
Just sayin.

Re: Compliance official breaks into womans home
I don't know what a compliance officer is allowed to do in Georgia. If the door was closed but unlocked, is that like a Texas game warden opening a closed gate to look for game law violations on private property? In my fair city, they just passed an ordinance that says a compliance officer can ente...

Re: Summertime Cover Garment
Plus one on Tommy Bahama shirts, but usually it is just a T-shirt. I have several CCW's that I rotate, so it's frequently a matter of choosing the gun that fits the outfit, not the other way around. I usually only carry IWB if I am wearing shorts. I can't bring myself to buy loose enough jeans to co...

Re: Probably an over discussed issue.
Maybe they thought the signs needed to average 1" and they were compensating for the smaller lettering on the other signs? There is a school of thought that I have seen on these boards that once you have seen a compliant sign at any entrance you are forevermore on notice that the building is pr...
