Re: NY: Community leaders want to keep toy guns out of children’s hands with toy gun exchange

Did you see that they want to give kids FOOTBALLS instead of guns??? Don't they know that footballs lead to traumatic brain injury and all sorts of other manly evils. I can't believe it!!! That’s only a small part of it. Football teaches violence. The coach and parents wants you to hit harder and k...

Re: GOP lawmaker drafts bill requiring journalists to register with police

The SEC has regulations requiring financial reporters to reveal if they have an interest in the subject of their report. This is so that readers can be forewarned that the reporting maybe influenced by the reporter’s self interest in the subject. I think there should be a similar requirement for po...

Re: Legal age for having a handgun in your vehicle

This thread makes me wonder about potential legal issues that my girlfriend might face if her 19year old daughter has a pistol in her car when her 8+ year younger brothers are in it. Like, what if they stayed in the car when she went inside to pick something up? :headscratch Make sure the child kno...

Re: VCDL sues Katie Couric for Defamation

The Yahoo News anchor expressed her concern over people falling for fake news and called upon her fellow journalists to do a better job at helping people understand "complicated issues." No no no NO NO NOOOOOO!!!! You need to STOP trying to "help us understand" the issues!!! Jus...

Re: Hearing Protection Act of 2017

What we really need is a Federal law banning and confiscating autoloader rifles that are not equipped with a rate of fire slowing device (ROFSD), that keeps you from pulling the trigger more than once every two seconds. All existing semi-rifles must be registered IAW NFA after having ROFSD installe...

"Likely to be found unconstitutional."
He could not say it was unconstitutional, but likely to be found. Sounds like a wish list.

Re: Why Glock didn't make the Army Cut

The safety of a round in the tube shouldn't matter because the military (unless it has changed tactics) does not allow one in the tube. Most military police are not even allowed to carry with a magazine in the firearm and where they are allowed to have the magazine in, none in the tube.

Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?

I have come to the conclusion that Constitutional Carry (CC) and licensed carry (LTC) need to be separate. Not as a law, but as to what they honor. LTC people should have the right to carry everywhere that is not within a secure area. Face it, I think LTC's have proven themselves. CC has not proven ...

Re: I just had a reality check

I too have had reality checks, only they weren't dreams. Take from it what you will. I lean towards preferring a heavier, faster round but I still carry a .380 several days a week. Better to carry something than nothing at all, I say. Several years ago I was in a huge, multi-agency manhunt. At leas...

Re: Shootings Kill Or Injure At Least 19 U.S. Kids Each Day

Congress has prohibited the CDC from using federal money to advocate or promote gun control. CDC spokeswoman Courtney Lenard said the congressional directive “does not prohibit CDC from conducting public health research into gun violence” and the agency continues to do so. Translated: Congress tell...

Pass through shots/ liability

Saw this article and thought it was interesting. It does raise some questions. https://mylegalheat.com/blog/are-you-liable-for-a-passthrough-or-missed-shot/ One of the answers to, is if a shot passes through a person violating your rights and strikes another person, who is liable. Needs some opinion...

Re: How Concealed do You have to be at work?

My employer says our gun free zone policies will keep us safe. An employee can be terminated if caught with a gun. The office manager offered our receptionist a baseball bat to keep under her desk, just in case someone can't read. I am totally protected! :banghead: So do y'all have security monitor...
