M&P Bodyguard 380 nuisance magazine releases
I got an M&P Bodyguard 380 earlier this year and it soon became my "everywhere where legal" carry. One major issue I have with are occasional unintended magazine releases when carried in a pocket holster or a tactical belt case, where it sits in a hidden section behind the phone. To me...

Re: Now this is the reason why I carry
A thinly-veiled robbery to say the least. One reason they keep doing this is that too many citizens sheepishly comply. A step down on this scheme would be the window washers seen at intersections all over town. What angers me most is that so many people just pay them rather than saying "no than...

The couple with the infamous "F Trump and Sheriff Nehls" signs on their truck
This is where the right to free speech and common sense don't intersect. Sure they have the right to (with the F word being debatable) but they are magnets for road rage, vandalism, and causing accidents by distracting others as well as the obstructed view from the rear window. Add the Sheriff's nam...

Re: Liability of business owners who ban licensed handguns
I think you have a good argument, but it's flawed. By state law, a private business, entity has the right to post 30.06 / 30.07 signs. As such I can't see where they would incur any liability as a result. In my opinion, they should face greater liability so that the decision to post would have a do...

Re: TX: Sutherland Springs church 27 dead 20 injured in mass shooting
According to the Daily Mail, the shooter had been dishonorably discharged from the Air Force, which would make him a prohibited person.

Re: male victim, licensed to carry defended himself from assault
Reading between the lines... 1) noticed that the PD said the male had a licence to carry, and that PD is silent on the female, license-wise. I'm going to guess 'No' 2) brief article said; "The suspect, 23 year-old female Raven Seymone Fisher". What can you naturally assume about a young w...

Being significantly older than the attacker is a useful disparity of force "card" if the need arises.NavAir wrote:Does a third party have the right to draw weapon and defend guy #1?

Re: Revolver vs semiauto effective barrel lengths
I started thinking about this when watching videos about Bond Arms 410 derringers after noticing chambered shells seemed to take up almost all of the barrel.

Re: another 30.06 question
The problem with there being little or no case law on these types of violations is that, as a group, CHL/LTC holders have fewer arrests or convictions of crimes than the group of law enforcers in the state of Texas. I may not have stated that completely correctly, but that's the gist of it. We don'...

Re: another 30.06 question
I don't see 30.06 as a sacred property right but rather a public accommodation issue. Anyone who opens their property to the public must agree to not discriminate against various classes, which in my opinion should include legal carriers. Along with that, property owners who don't post should be shi...

The laws I despise most are those which are effective at getting good people over small things while hardly stopping the bad ones, and this is a great example.

2 NAA mini-revolver mishaps during the same shooting session
1. The rear sight flew off my Black Widow when shooting magnum rounds. Other than that, it handler them nicely and was fun to shoot. The range officer found it while sweeping brass. It's the adjustable sight model. It slides back on but won't lock in place. 2. My 22 Short revolver flew out of my han...

Dark gun sitting on black case lead to drops
Twice now I've dropped the same dark-colored Single Six as a result of forgetting that it was on top of a soft black rifle case. No damage or loss of accuracy, but I did pick up a minor scratch on the end of the barrel. From now on I'm going to uncase the weapon at the beginning leave the case on th...
