Re: Regaining LTC/CHL after criminal charges dropped
Was your license "revoked" or "suspended"?... I assume it was "suspended", since you were not yet convicted... According to the DPS website, your license should be reinstated, assuming it did not expire while it was suspended... I suggest calling DPS and asking whether ...

Re: Carrollton - Tisas "Carry" 9mm 1911, 4", 3 mags - $550
It has "Carry" stamped on the slide, by the hammer. I will post the model # later. This is a great, lower priced option. I think these will end up like RIA and double in price in the next few years. ps - They do have a recall on a few models... this is NOT one of them!! FWIW... I didn't m...

Re: Carrollton - Tisas "Carry" 9mm 1911, 4", 3 mags - $550
Internet feedback on these has been pretty good... What model number is this one? 9+1 capacity? I'm not in the market currently, but, intrigued by this one... never owned a 1911 and seems this brand would be a good place to start... Long thread here for anyone else considering this brand... https://...

If you haven’t already, check out im1776.com. There’s some brilliant writing going on there. One of my TwiX follows is a writer by the name of Lafayette Lee, posts as @Partisan_O. He wrote the article linked below, and it is a great read. https://im1776.com/2024/01/26/the-making-of-a-constitutional...

Re: Mattress - WAY OFF TOPIC
Keep in mind that "memory" foam has a limited life. As we have discovered dealing with memory foam in aircraft seats, it is VERY comfortable, but it does compress and loose it's firmness over time. In aircraft seats we have found it life to be around 6 - 8 years. I suspect that sleeping o...

Re: Texas Rebellion?
Honestly, I believe that the odds of recovery from this are lower than 50/50, no matter who gets elected as POTUS, Trump included. If you want to know where I think we’re headed, try reading Kurt Schlichter’s latest book, " The Attack ." My friends have been looking at me sideways for yea...

I have 3 bad discs... one lower back, 2 neck... so... I feel your pain... 1. I've slept on a sleep number bed a few times.. back when I was traveling a lot and one of the hotel chains had a deal with them... they were not adjustable base models (no foot and head height adjustment), only adjustable f...

Re: How many levels of membership?
I've been a Benefactor member since 2015. It was a slightly different NRA a decade ago, but I haven't given up on the 152-year-old organization. I think it needs to do some pivoting, and I think it dropped the ball in the 2020 elections compared to its effectiveness in 2016, but I still thinks it's...

Re: Ban on guns in post offices is unconstitutional, US judge rules
Please help a guy who is a slow thinker. The USPS has to post 30.06/07 to keep you out? Not 30.0x... Emphasis is mine... https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/930 (h) Notice of the provisions of subsections (a) and (b) shall be posted conspicuously at each public entrance to each Federal facil...

Re: Ban on guns in post offices is unconstitutional, US judge rules
Roy I sure love you, but I hope so much you are wrong. I hope I'm wrong as well! I found out today that I WAS wrong about the parking lot having to be posted... I thought it did not, but, apparently it DOES need to be posted, as does the building, in order for gun possession to be off l...

Re: Ban on guns in post offices is unconstitutional, US judge rules
I love the Bruin decision more every day! Question for our legal experts: what is the impact of this for us (assuming it stands). Is it limited to only a certain geographic region, or does it impact the full US? At the moment it impacts only the jurisdiction of the circuit in which the ruling was i...
