Re: Oliver North to speak at 30.06ed Church

I'm with you... why should a property owner be able to restrict something that doesn't affect his property... whether my attire, what's in my pocket or concealed on my belt? Funny thing when I posted that comment I originally thought about a delineation between business and residential property... ...

Re: Oliver North to speak at 30.06ed Church

In Texas, private property owners are legally allowed to limit the civil rights of visitors, even if the exercise of those civil rights do not harm the property owners or anyone else in any way. Some of us cheer this as a win for private property rights. Some of us think this is unfortunate and do ...

Re: AT&T Stadium for Non-Scholastic/Non-Professional Event

It has been my understanding that if a govt entity leased property to a third party, like a concert promoter, that third party could post the property. Maybe that is just the excuse they want to give us. :confused5 That is true but the sign would still be unenforceable. In the case of a concert I’m...

Re: Oliver North to speak at 30.06ed Church

The incoming President of the NRA is speaking at an event that will prohibit the lawful carry of firearms.
I hope this was something that was scheduled before he accepted the NRA position... ? (I assume it was)

Re: Who Eats Baby Goat Or Also Known As Cabrito?

Kroger had boneless ribeyes for $5.99/pound yesterday.
Not as interesting as the fare in this thread, but delicious nonetheless.

Re: Who Eats Baby Goat Or Also Known As Cabrito?

There are many Carneterias in the Fort Worth area. I'd be surprised if you couldn't find it here.

Please invite me for leftover disposal. :thumbs2:

Re: Purchased a gun for a friend

I would concur with both of you..... The only complication is whether there's paperwork from the auction seller with the OP's name on it that causes the FFL to balk. If the "friend" is the source of the funds for the purchase and the friend files the 4473 as the transferee, I don't see ho...

Re: Purchased a gun for a friend

If I take possession of a firearm, and a credit card company pays the seller, and I later reimburse the credit card company, I'm still the actual purchaser. I think. :headscratch Logic has no place in this discussion. Seriously, now. Unless the friend who has already promised to repay the...

Re: HB435 Volunteer Emergency Svces Carrying

So while fighting a fire side by side, Volunteer Firemen can carry but the city employed Firemen can't? The City can give their permission for the full-time FF's to carry. The VFD has a "defense to prosecution" for being "Volunteer Emergency Services" providers. This is my OPINI...

Re: Purchased a gun for a friend

IANAL and I'm no longer FFL but I don't see any legal issue if the friend does the paperwork, takes possession, and keeps the gun. It seems he is the actual purchaser, regardless of cash flows between striker55, the friend, the GunBroker seller, and the FFL transferring the firearm to the friend. I...
