Re: IL: Accidental shooting at gun show injures two

I found a vendor's loaded revolver at a gun show a couple years ago. Why I ALWAYS check every firearm I hold. Recently a friend showed me one of his guns. He cleared the firearm, handed it to me, I checked it, looked at it handed it back, he checked it again. SOP.

Re: Shots fired in my neighborhood

I've heard something similar on occasion in our neighborhood in the evenings.... husband always tells me it's just the neighborhood kids setting off some fireworks. :headscratch (fireworks are illegal within city limits also, partly because of the fire hazard) Fireworks and gunshots sound very diff...

Re: Shots fired in my neighborhood

Ahhh Pflugerville. Lived there, on one of the sketchy streets no less my very first year in Texas. In fact, the very first DAY in the house, some dude walked up and started banging on the door looking for someone. Honest mistake when the house had been vacant for months??? I didn't open the door and...

Re: One step closer

Would hate to go in there with a pistol I have never fired. Your instructor and classmates will appreciate that you know your handgun before the class. Have to +1 on this one. My class the guy next to me was shooting in the 3 point ring at 3 yards. It is hard to shoot when you have to keep one eye ...

Re: Concealed Carry....... badge

What if Erik Scott hadn't been high on prescription drugs? How does a CHL badge fix that?

Re: So I am looking to get into reloading

If I have ZERO experience reloading. Do the kits come with all instructions as to how to get started or is it something that I would need to learn from someone before trying myself? The anniversary kit is about 95% there. I also got some calipers, a tumbler and media separator kit and dies for my c...

Blade-tech NANO IWB - opinions?

I am looking at getting a thinner IWB, do any forum members have experience with the Blade-tech NANO IWB? This will be for a Glock 17, thanks!

Re: Does anyone shoot reloads in glocks?

I have owned a G17 and a G22 for about 15 years now. Both guns have been shot thousands of rounds....98% of which have been my reloaded ammo. I stick with FMJ bullets. I do not trust lead due to different hardness levels between various manufacturers. I have found both Glocks really like a 124 grai...

Re: So I am looking to get into reloading

I have loaded a few thousand rounds on my Lee single stage and the anniversary kit. I like the single stage, yes it is slow, I usually just batch everything together. I can do about 75/hr if I have everything prepped ahead of time. Great way to learn! Edit to add, the kit will pay for itself when yo...

Re: Does anyone shoot reloads in glocks?

I do, 115gr JHP over 5.1 gr. Unique in a G17. YMMV, almost every manufacturer says not to use reloads.

Re: Newbie question...

I had a pistol permit in NY (before my escape to Texas!!!) and my first outing was to go shooting/sighting for hunting season and then eating a late lunch in a crowded restaurant where I was convinced everyone and their brother was looking at the 48 oz. monstrosity under my armpit. No one noticed. I...
