Re: Cities improperly posting 30.06 signs?

How about a 30.05 sign posted at the 2022 Brazoria County Fair, a list of rules on their website prohibiting all firearms, and law enforcement denying access to LTC holders who are exempt from a 30.05 sign? I emailed a formal written complaint to county judge Mark Sebesta and the Brazoria County Fai...

Re: Speaker Bonnen's betrayal of Texas gun-owners

I am most interested in SB117 this session. This is the bill that clarifies the school activity law that the Houston, Galveston County, and Brazoria County fair and rodeos have been hiding behind to post illegal 30.06 signs. Over the last couple years I have filed several complaints on these, but st...

Galveston County Fair and Rodeo

Got some free tickets to the Galveston County Fair. Arrived to find 30.06 and 30.07 signs at the entrance. Stuff like this just frustrates me to no end. And now my wife is irritated at me for going back home and not just leaving my gun in the truck. I can't win! I'm still waiting to hear back on the...

Re: Houston Livestock Show/Rodeo to Prohibit OC

I guess now that the rodeo is over they have even less of a reason to do anything? I wouldn't necessarily say that. Like myself, others who have filed formal complaints with the AG's office have likely received correspondence stating that the matter is being investigated. Until I myself receive not...

Re: Houston Livestock Show/Rodeo to Prohibit OC

I faxed a complaint and photo to Judge Ed Emmet last week. I wasn't surprised when I received no reply and the signs were still there this week. I went ahead and filed a formal complaint through the AG website, and within 25 minutes received an email from Captian Gregory Lewis. Mr. Barriault, my nam...

Re: Houston Livestock Show/Rodeo to Prohibit OC

As Mr. Cotton has suggested, follow the procedure. Notify Harris County first. Here is Devon Anderson's email address: da@dao.hctx.net. She is the DA for Harris County. Send her an email similar to the following: Dear Devon Anderson, I’m sure you’re aware that the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo ha...

Re: H.R. 2910 Gun Violence Prevention And Reduction Act of 2

Wasn't it the Dems who emptied the mental institutions a couple of decades ago putting thousands of mentally ill people out on the streets homeless left to fend for themselves? Now all of a sudden they are concerned about the mentally ill? Politicians in general have never been concerned about the ...

Re: Another special session?

Unless I’m misreading him, we’re going to be called back in. There are certain items on this call that he shared with me that are a must pass. http://blog.chron.com/texaspolitics/2013/06/dewhurst-second-special-session-likley-unless-certain-items-pass/ I wonder if SB23, the Teen Capital Murder Bill...
