You can hardly see the building from 518.

My private meeting went well. Thank you for your prayers! because... Much to my surprise, the ISD President & Superintendent were all ears and very interested in what I had to say. My 4-5 min presentation was followed by ~50 minutes of friendly Q&A and conversation.
Safety & Security is paramount to them at this juncture. Seems all bets are off.
Presenting the idea of CHL in schools is not such a crazy idea anymore.
I should have an update from them soon.
I will keep you posted.

I am going before the school board this evening. I have a private meeting with the President and the Superintendent to discuss "no cost security measures" that they can take advantage of.

Texas has a legal process for this approval.
How does it work?
Harrold isd did it back in 2008.
How do we get this done in more isd's?
Can a principal approve an individual at a particular school, or does it have to be isd wide?
Anyone attempted to this? Please let me know how you approached the issue, who you talked to and outcome.
