Re: Closing Tax Loopholes is Treason

Keeping deductibility in place means those of us in places with low state and local tax burdens pay more federal income tax, thereby subsidizing the taxpayers of places such as New York. No wonder Cuomo is so worked up. So you're OK with letting some of our citizens getting taxed twice? We pay lowe...

Re: Closing Tax Loopholes is Treason

Perhaps you should amend your statement to "NYC". Since 99% of the state is NOT in league with the socialist 1%'ers the story focuses on. Most of the state is country and full of good people. Most of them refused to turn in their guns, too. Coming from a native NY'er who knew bigger redne...

Re: Professor Claims Math, Algebra And Geometry Promote ‘White Privilege’

Here's another winner..... https://www.campusreform.org/?ID=10021 Somehow science is supposedly inherently racist and colonialist and promotes subjugation of all kinds of classes. A feminist approach of science illiteracy would - again, supposedly - bring about a more inclusive understanding of the ...

Re: Reddit and freedom of speech.

I itemized, and it's right around that $25k (+/- a couple of thousand over the past couple of years). Sounds like it may be best to not itemize if this plan gets implemented? I would think for people around the threshold, it would certainly reduce the tax incentive to make charitable contributions ...

Re: Closing Tax Loopholes is Treason

Closer to treasonous would be frivolously squandering the tax dollars, most of which come from those you aim to further penalize. I'd love to see a bunch of the 1%ers move across the line to NJ and put NY in the same budgetary hole as CA. That is probably not a viable alternate for the NYers. https...

Re: Hybrid holsters are JUNK!!!!

Unless I buy a duty-grade retention holster, only thing I expect is that it does not fall out. Haven't had that happen yet. All of my IWB are hybrids.

Re: Started a new AR Project.

You will like how soft a rifle configured ar will shoot. Not that the carbines have a lot of recoil but the rifles are noticeably softer. Get ready to hear the twang of the buffer spring. That is what a JP Rifles centerless ground and polished buffer spring is for. Nearly silent and no twang. Using...

Re: Single Stage Press: Hornady vs RCBS?

The correct answer is: Big Boss 2 The extra credit answer is: T7 Turret With the Redding Turret is there any sacrifice in repeatability or precision over a single stage? I'll wind up buying a turret or progressive for 5.56/.308/45acp down the road where the precision is not the end all/be all conce...

Re: 6.5 Creedmoror

Why are you looking to convert it? Save money?

Hornady, Alpha Munitions and Lapua all make quality brass. I've got 100ct of the Alpha sitting here and it's the best looking brass I've ever seen.

Re: Gun safe thoughts/advice

I bought a used Liberty safe from a local vendor. They delivered it for a reasonable fee. I stuck it in a nook where it is surrounded by three walls - fits like a glove. It's roughly 1,000 lbs as it sits, and very bottom heavy. If they can rip it out of my house and somehow fit it through a door - t...

My name is David Vaught, Owner at Crossfire Defense Academy & Range. I've seen a lot of information on here about our place. Looks like a very cool forum board. I grew up in Grapevine, served in the US Navy, graduated from the police academy, went back to school and spent the last 20 years in b...

Re: New Range being built in Flower Mound Tx

I got in on early availability for Crossfire, as a Dynamic member, and paid under $500 for a year. Supposedly per their terms, I'll keep that pricing as long as I keep an active membership. Considering it will be the only rapid fire, shoot and move indoor range that I know of(or is remotely close t...

Re: New Gun Range opened in Argyle Texas

I can't believe how much you guys have to pay to shoot. What do you usually pay and what would you consider too much? I see the cost at this range is $20 an hour, more than I'm used to, but it looks like a nice operation. I use public ranges when I visit my daughter in Mansfield. I.E. Alpine, Bulls...
