Re: TX: SA off duty police officer suspended for 15 days after being shot 6 Times in the torso

Baby Face Nelson killed two FBI agents after being hit by at least one, possibly two, buckshot loads, in the legs and 3-6 45s from a Tommy Gun. Given that this officer was drinking he very well could have down what he did with 6 9 mm hits to his torso. Most people would have gone down but he had fig...

If you read further in the article, legality depends on the country and the type of visa they have. Very confusing.

You might try Military Gun Supply in the mid cities area/east Fort Worth. They use to carry reasonably priced Mausers, but I haven't been in there in a few years so who knows.

Re: OK: Clerk shoots customer who pulls gun over photographs

The clerk did well to only get fired. Good shoot until he hit bystanders, then not so good.

Re: Negligent entrustment of a firearm: TX courts haven't ruled.

There are 3 reported cases in the last 40 years according to the article. This doesn't seem to be a burning legal question in Texas. Of course it would only take one case to make it a real issue.

Re: Dallas Under-Funding Police to the Point Where Life-Threatening Calls Go Unanswered

A friend of mine is a Dallas City police officer. According to him, the staffing levels are so low that detectives only have 30 minutes to handle any case. They can't hardly start in that time. He is very frustrated.

Re: FTF selling question

I have generally done transactions in a public parking lot usually a big box store or a restaurant. Some police departments offer space to do transactions. I believe Carrollton PD does this for example.

Re: CHL Badge holder charged in murder at church

Lousy situation. The deceased started this by disrupting a church service. The shooter should have handled this a lot differently. He should have approached the deceased and asked him to calm down or leave. If that doesn't work, you call 911 and get 3 or 4 brothers, ushers, Deacons elders, whatever ...

Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?

Republicans in Texas better wake up and figure out how to get Hispanic votes and suburban votes. In my area which historically has been strongly Republican, I now have a Democrat state senator and a Democrat state rep who doesn't even live in the district. And my Congressman, Marchant, just barely w...

Re: ‘But, Kavanaugh!’ NeverTrump’s Awakening

I almost didn't vote for Trump because I didn't believe he really was a conservative, he absolutely slandered all of his Republican opponents with the most evil and nasty language, he is a liar and he is/was a womanizer. I also didn't agree with his views on trade or on Afganistan and Iraq. I did vo...

Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?

Something I don't understand is when a politician actually does in office what he promised to do in his campaign and then people get upset with him for doing what he said he would do. This is happening to Cruz and Trump. While I don't think either are terribly likable people, they both have kept the...

Re: New online CHL application & procedures

My son is going to a private Christian college in Arkansas so there is no issue of instate versus out of state tuition. It just costs every student a ridiculous amount of money!

It is a good issue to remember though. Thanks.
