Re: AR Price Drops??
I'm sure it's directly related to the election results. I would assume most AR manufacturers were producing at a level that factored a Clinton victory and a high demand for AR's that continued as it had during the Obama years. That did not materialize and now we have a glut of AR supplies in the pip...

Re: How do I fry fish?
My 2 recipes, Easy way : Roll the fillets in egg, roll in Zatarans Shrimp fry, and deep fry in peanut oil, I use a fry daddy for this and have never had a temp problem or burned the oil as long as I do small batches. Harder recipe : Dip in milk, then roll in seasoned flour, then roll in egg, then ro...

Re: Thoughts on a NAA .22 Mag
I carried one for years as my lazy carry, sold it at a gunshow and bought a Keltec P32 as my new lazy carry ( lazy carry = to lazy to carry my real gun).I had one with both cylinders and enjoyed shooting it with the .22 lr cylinder. It was surprisingly accurate and took forever to go through a box o...

Re: eddy stone m1917
I hunted with one for years when I was young, good gun. My brother in law still has it. A 3x9 would probably be a good scope for it, as it's a 30.06. I would probably get the head space checked before you shoot it though.

Re: Multitool suggestions
I have been a Gerber multi tool lover since it's inception, early 90's? I always loved them because I could have a fish in my left hand, reach down and get out my Gerber and flick it open with my right hand. Did not have to use 2 hands to deploy the pliers. I buy a new one every couple of years. May...

Re: Bullet Box
I have one. My chief complaint is that the bullet splatter shreds your target. Never had the splatter come out and hit me, but it bounces out enough to slowly shred the target from the inside out. I started taping the target to cardboard and them mounting that to the clip, it helps some. Other than ...

Very sad, I pray he recovers fully. I never have understood the stupidity of firing a gun in the air as celebration.

Re: Making your own cleaning patches for bore cleaning?
I've used those blue shop towel paper towels before. Cut them to where they were a good fit, and they worked great. This was for .30 and .45 though, they seem to thick for .22.

Re: Generator Only Runs at Half Choke
I have never used it, but my buddy swears by Trufuel. They sell it both in a pre-mixed version for 2 strokes, and a non mixed version for 4 strokes. Lowes and I think Home Depot carries it. He has been running it in his chainsaws and the like and has not had any carburetion issues since. Your proble...

Re: M1 Garand, help
Based on your description, I would compare that to what the CMP calls the " Special Grade", those are going for $1250.00 right now. Then you have to price in all the ammo and accessories, the gentleman that said $1,500 to $2,000 had it about right.

Re: Cheap AR
That's a good price, but i've never heard of them though . I'm assuming that is not a polymer lower/upper , that's the only thing that I don't like in AR's these days. Outside of that, you could upgrade as you go if you want. As an aside, I bought a cheapo upper from a company a few years back that ...
