Excellent choice on the G43, you're going to love it. It has become my EDC. My trigger is really starting to smooth out at 500+ rounds, mine will stay stock. Paid $475 for the Talo edition at AGR Outdoors in Cypress.

Re: Carrying target ammo or hollow point?
Only because we are talking about the .380: If you have to go with FMJ, use flat nosed bullets instead of round nosed.
But your best bet is to look for deals online for any of the XTP loadings. That round turns the .380 into something formidable.

Re: Glock 43 or 26 For A Yard Gun - Opinions?
The G43 is my favorite Glock, but it sounds like the additional capacity of the G26 may be important to you. FYI, I have been testing the Pearce +1 baseplate with the GlockStore extra power mag spring in my 43 with flawless results so far. 150 rounds of assorted fmj and 80 rounds of gold dot. Will l...

Re: Anyone else have a beer gut?
38" waist here with a decent whiskey gut. I'm a righty that carries square on at 3 o'clock. I find that ride height and cant have to be just right to prevent that side gouging you referred to.

Range: Cheapest crap I can find, usually 115 grain steel or aluminum cased.
HD/SD: Carry and nightstand 9s are stuffed with 124+p Gold Dots. Flawless and accurate in both my G43 and P-09.

Re: Shortage of Gold Dot ammo?
SGAmmo usually keeps stock also. That's what I have in all my 9's, and have for years. Soft shooting, accurate, never had failure of any type, and performs well in nearly every test, reguardless of gun or barrel length. I know there are newer designs, but I'm gonna stick with old and reliable.

Re: Clean and lube polymer weapons
For cleaning: Gun Scrubber, CLP, Hoppe's bore cleaner, brass brushes, and old t-shirts.
CLP, RemOil, and lithium grease for lube.
But carb cleaner and mobil 1 work in a pinch.

Howdy! According to UTG's catalog description, the mount can be used with weaver or picatinny.
