Re: Question about eligibility for CHL
Getting a certified copy of a case disposition does not require appearing in person. Telephone and mail will work.

Glad you weren't rapid firing and sent a second round into the first stuck bullet!

Re: Question about eligibility for CHL
I'd suggest you can stop worrying. This doesn't sound like anything that will affect your application.

Re: Driving to upstate New York
The moral of this is, expect to be stopped if you have Texas plates because they assume everyone from Texas carries a gun Don't assume it is solely the Texas plate. He could have easily known you had a Texas CHL. That information is shared amongst various law enforcement agencies, even with Canada....

Re: Finally moved to Texas
So you're saying you can only carry near a school, whether in your car or not if you have a permit to that state? You're saying this is a federal law and state law doesn't matter? So if you're in a state that doesn't require permits, how does that work? What if the state has its own laws reguarding...

Re: Finally moved to Texas
You can carry a firearm in your car concealed in Texas. So the school law would only apply if you were out of your vehicle, to my understanding anyway. That is completely incorrect. JALLEN was referring to the FEDERAL gun free school zones act. It has an exception for people licensed to carry in th...

Re: Free old wheel weights
It is the Magma Engineering lube, sold by the same company that made my Magma Engineering Star Lube-Sizer.
I know the lube is harder than many of the purists would consider ideal, but Houston is so hot I'd rather not have all the lube running out of my bullets and creating a sticky mess.

Re: State Rep giving posters to businesses....
I'd show up for an open carry walk in front of his office if it was set for a time that didn't conflict with my already busy schedule. If businesses are going to post, I hope they do choose to post his signs. The picture showed them on ordinary letter-sized 8.5x11 paper. We all know what that implies.

Later reports confirm a cop shot the police officer, not the homeowner.

Re: Status of Taurus Curve
OK, I understand the reasoning now. If it is however dark and I don't HAVE a flashlight handy, I still can use the gun light as a flashlight. I have seen so many cases of a family member trying to get into the house without disturbing the owners for instance, getting shot because that moving figure...

Re: Gun control would be easy??
All these whackjobs think they can spew policies and then delegate the dirty "war-in-the-trenches" job of actual implementation and enforcement to our already overburdened law enforcement. I'd invite him to have the courage to personally come and try to take my guns. It wouldn't end well. ...
