Re: Woman blows away car burglar with shotgun

The sad thing is that in some other states, the question would be whether or not she could get out of the murder charges.

Re: Dalhart: Teenage burglar shoots self with stolen weapon

Growing up, when my Dad taught my brother and I to shoot, muzzle control and keeping the chamber clear were stressed much more than keeping fingers off the trigger. My Dad used to try to get us not to even point our toy guns at each other. I have gotten into the habit of keeping my finger on the tri...

Re: Dallas PD Swat Weapons Stolen

TV reports that they were locked in a "safe" in the back of the unmarked "SUV." The burgler was able to get into the vehicle, unlock the safe and taken all his weapons (I don't think it was all of teams weapons) and all of his armor, badge, uniforms, and gear. :banghead: They sa...

Re: TN: Tennessee AG Says Landlords can ban their tenants

Someone visiting your property IS NOT THE SAME as someone renting/leasing your property as a residence. Once you lease a property to someone so they can use it as their home, you give up rights to the property in exchange for rent. You might have rights to access for maintenance/inspections, but you...

Re: TN: Tennessee AG Says Landlords can ban their tenants

Yep, this is often a tough problem for true conservatives because it's the violation of personal property rights or 2nd Amendment Rights. The 2nd Amendment is not involved in any way. There is no constitutional right to enter or use someone else's property in a way that violates their wishes. Your ...

I believe it is Hogdon H322 that my brother has been using. I get my best groups with those loads. I think Varget is what he normally uses for rifles.

Re: gathering brass at the range

I used to shoot at an indoor range in Houston that didn't allow picking up brass. It was cheap to shoot though. I bet they would raise prices if they didn't do that. I just set my range bag up on the right side of the bench so I always caught a few. Revolver brass never hit the floor in the first pl...

Re: Semi Auto Magazines

I have 6 mags for each of my semi's. I keep one in the gun and on spare fully charged, and rotate every 30 days. I started doing that when I figured out the springs in my Hsc had gotten so weak they won't reliably feed the last 2 rounds. Have you considered just buying some spare springs? What is a...

Re: Semi Auto Magazines

I have pistol mags both loaded and unloaded and have never noticed an issue. The only problem might come if you bought cheap knock-off mags. My rule for pistol mags: I only buy the Original Equipment Manufacturer's magazines. The magazine is a critical part of a reliable pistol. I figure I am only g...

Re: Ball ammo for self defense

I have heard before the suggestion that you should aim for the belly button rather than the chest or heart. Depending on the situation, a shot to the crotch, hip, or stomach is likely to cause an attacker to think about other things than chasing you or continuing an attack. I guess if you are corner...

Re: Man shot 32 times before dying

The human body has only a few areas where an injury causes sudden death : the heart... Not true - there are many, many documented cases where individuals have been shot in the heart and not died until they bled out. In fact, a female LAPD officer was shot point blank in the heart with a .357 magnum...
