Re: The Disarming of America --a liberal's dream
I don't know of any 'liberals' who would agree with this. Sounds like a right wing conservitive scare tactic.

Re: Shiloh Shooting Range
"No magnum rounds" is as self explanatory as we can possibly make it. Looks pretty clear and straight forward to me. I love the place and the employees are great (the one's I've met and worked with). There is one new inexperienced helper but he's always there with the experts. Niko's the ...

Re: "Father - Daughter" Range Day?
It's a great idea. I went shooting with my daughter (21 next week) today and we had a great time.

Re: Need some advice and suggestions on hand to hand fightin
I've ridden (motorcycles) with the founder of the SCARS system. We were on a long ride for some BBQ, didn't get around to discussing any of it. Heard it's the most expensive SD out there, but supposed to be very good. When I win the lottery I may have to consider going out to train with him.

Re: Need some advice and suggestions on hand to hand fightin
I agree with many of the comments here, especially Skiprr's. Krav Maga may be good or even look into Kajukembo/Kajukenbo. I've trained in many arts over the past 35 years and am still very active, holding several master levels. Even though I feel fairly confident in empty hand fighting, I now also h...

Re: Gun carry and ownership linked to heavy alcohol use
Well, I do carry a gun, and I do brew my own beer. Therefore, it must be right!?

Shiloh Shooting Range
Shiloh finally replaced all their A/Cs and just added more lighting. So it's nice and well lit in the ranges and the new units keep it much more comfortable.

Re: Conceled carry bag?
Thanks for the replys guys. Sorry, yes it's a motorcycle (Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 'Ultra' Nomad). In our Houston weather, I would normall be wearing jeans and a t-shirt, many times when hot a mesh jacket, when cold leather jacket & maybe chaps. My leather jacket is a "Pistol Pete" type, b...

Conceled carry bag?
Thinking about something to carry in while I'm riding my bike, etc. Maybe some type of scrote tote/fanny pack type of thing and I don't know what options are out there or the best place to pick something like that up.
Any ideas or suggestions from those who have used various such products?
TIA,
Mac

I go out to 518 every week for a class and was there Saturday. I always try to stay aware, but thanks for the heads up as I'll be even more vigilant.

Re: My "whatever you want to call it" walk
Congrats! I'm up by Spring too and went by an Ace this weekend but today was my first "walk" too. Bought ammo at Walmart, went by Half Priced Books and Barns and Noble, was going to go by Academy but had gotten every thing I was looking for already so didn't.
