Re: SB17 OC Bill On Intent Calendar for 3-16-2015.
I did hear the concept of reciprocity come up during the debates and it was an interesting question. There wasn't really an answer for the question that was posed either however fortunately, that didn't hang things up. The question really is broader than OC. The question that came up was that if so...

Re: Ted Cruz not voting?
Reagan also had the benifit of being a CA favorite which allowed him to carry both CA and TX. Not only will Cruz not carry CA, he might not carry Texas in the primary depending on who decides to run. Only person who might run that could actually threaten Cruz in Texas would be Rand Paul....and they...

Re: Straus interview in Texas Tribune Feb 11
With the pressure of Abbott, Patrick, and other Republicans looking to undercut him, I doubt that Strauss has the political capital right now to oppose the SB versions of open carry or campus carry and still do all the other favors that his Dem supporters need from him in other areas (education, imm...

Re: Texas3006 called out in public testimony period?
Not too malicious, but at least 3006.com is living, rent free, in his head! I hope his head is a peaceful place! I'd like to visit one day  Unfortunately for him though I've already registered texas3007.com so that, if this bill passes, I can continue the legacy of documenting businesses that...

Re: Texas3006 called out in public testimony period?
Hi guys, I noticed a post on another website that said the following: "One group that was called out specifically in the testimony yesterday was Texas3006.com (IIRC). Took me by surprise -- they said that Texas3006 has been organizing protests and going into businesses to demand they take down...

Re: Poll: What's Your EDC CCW Holster?
Desantis Thumbbreak Scabbard or Galco Pocket Protector for my LC9, depending on my mood and activities on any given day. When the Desantis wears out (or I get another gun to CC), I'll probably get a Bravo Concealment OWB holster.

Re: HB 910 (OC) Committee debate - Now
While we're at it, why not require periodic refreshers on election law before one can get their voter registration? Why not require periodic refreshers on political science or world history before one can read a news source or comment on an issue on an Internet forum? This is just too delicious to ...

Re: HB 910 (OC) Committee debate - Now
I have spoken with many CHL holders who wish they did not remove the renewal training requirement. Unless every CHL holder stays on top of new legislation they have no idea of what changes have been made and the renewal classes provided this information. CHL instructors are looking for new ways to ...

Re: HB 910 (OC) Committee debate - Now
Like everyone else, he has his own agenda. It would be very unprofessional for anyone to seek him out and say anything or post negative reviews regarding his testimony. Everyone who puts themselves out there to testify should be able to do so without any harassment. There are also lots of folks who...

Re: Question on 30.06 (and 30.07)
Ahhhh, Ok I see what you are getting at. ;-) Those items are in Sections 42, 43 and 44 of Government Code 411. There IS some wording changes of the existing 30.06, and the addition to the new 30.07. IMO, those changes are necessary to accomodate open carry. I really don't see where the confusion is...

Re: SB17 OC Bill On Intent Calendar for 3-16-2015.
I see absolutely no utility to open-carry whatsoever. Some people want it for various reasons, none of which I've heard have anything to do with utility. The testimony today that open-carry reduces crime is utterly without any support or evidence. The testimony that someone carrying concealed would...

Re: SB17 OC Bill On Intent Calendar for 3-16-2015.
What is the break down of Republicans and Democrats on the calendar committee? It seemed like in the Senate that it was all republicans on board and all democrats against. Is it possible we will see the same thing with this committee? All the committees of the House are right here: http://www.capit...
