Reliant stadium

One course of action would be to wait until the next gun show and then call 911 and tell the nice operator that someone had a gun there in violation of the "policy". Or you could go to the County Commissioners Court and tell them they need to update their signs, since they are out of date ...

Re: Change "Concealed Handgun" to "Concealed

Currently you can carry an "illegal knive" or club with you if you have a CHL and are carrying a handgun. You can carry a "sawed off shotgun" if it is registered under NFA. Technically the law does indicate this is true the way it is written, however this is a very legally 'iffy...

Package of CHL changes

Here is my wish list for CHL changes; 1. Get rid of SA/NSA 2. Lower new CHL class time to 6 hours. "Non-violent dispute resolution" is crap, time waster and unneeded. If you don't read the whole damm book, you can get thru the Penal code in 2 hours AND have a good discussion of lethal forc...

Re: Change "Concealed Handgun" to "Concealed

How 'bout if we try to open up the options. It would be nice to have the option of a knife, or stun gun, or mace, or even a sawed off shotgun. I think Florida is like that; if you can conceal it, you can carry it. Currently you can carry an "illegal knive" or club with you if you have a C...

Re: You Nailed It.

Amen, Baytown. The SA/NSA is bull. The wife packs a revolver. I had her shoot and qualify with a SA since, maybe the day pigs fly, she will want to pack a hmmmm, let's see, Desert Eagle? Or Maybe she will take your truck down to the 7-11 one day and "officer friendly" will stop her and wo...

Charls, Since I have an employee sticker on my car and in addition have a second sticker for the much coveted covered parking under the building it would look strange if I tried to park in the visitors lot. Regards, Oilman Get a razor blade and remove the stickers. Besides, walking is good for you.

Very good point. We already have "early voting" in HEB's and other grocery stores. And many times the staff "forgets" to put out the "no electioneering" signs.

Perhaps Ms. Denny would not object to putting an exception in the bill for CHL?

Someone needs to "request" to see if Sen. Whitmire has a CHL. See how he likes it when DPS notifies HIM that someone is scoping him out.

CHL shooter saves life of another, loses own

Perhaps everyone reading this should contact their local news outlets and repeat what happened. From reports; > I live about 25 miles from Tyler and am listening to the press conference > now. I posted this because one of the dead was a TX CHL holder. His name was Mark > Allen Wilson age 52. A guy s...

Re: SB 664 by Ellis

Senator Rodney Ellis has introduced a bill to make the "premises of a law enforcement facility" off-limits to CHL holders. Not only is this unnecessary, the bill defines "law enforcement facility" grossly over-broad. (4) "Law enforcement facility" includes any building...

Re: HB 1067 Dealing with school parking lots, etc.

Here is yet another bill dealing with school parking lots and garages. This is getting old folks. It also deals with air guns, and some other things. TSRA is on it. Chas. I hope TSRA/NRA "gets on it". Isn't Hegar a newbie? When I spoke with "Jason" at his office, he had no idea ...
