Re: Mass slaughter of children at Pakistan school
People who kill children and burn teachers alive need to be put down like the rabid dogs they are. I don't give two cents for whatever stupid thing they say this is in retaliation for. They are evil barely human monsters that should simply be destroyed. If possible a trial would be nice, just to sho...

He told people he was planning on shooting someone.........well that was stupid.
As for the bit about a second bill of rights. We have a procedure to amend the constitution.....if we want to have that stuff, we can.

Re: Terrible murder you may not know about
This girl has a daddy. We could just leave him hand cuffed to a chair in a room and let the daddy know where he is. It was his little girl burned to death. Likely problem solved.

Maybe but the capt of state police made the call to let the guy sleep it off. My husband has known the officer for 11 years. A whole lot less trouble for us.

Re: Watch your back when stomping out a brush fire
It was after dark by quite a bit and the smoke was pretty thick according to my friends at the church who saw it too. In VA the burn laws are different (likely even more restrictive), off the top of my head I don't know them precisely...but no you cannot burn two feet from the road (I know that from...

Re: Watch your back when stomping out a brush fire
What I don't understand is...a person stops to help you and you don't want their help. Why would you just not say "no thanks man, I've got it." Why would you attack them with a rake? If you want them to leave...why would you stand in front of their car swinging said rake. Anyway. It was sc...

Watch your back when stomping out a brush fire
So my husband had an interesting night. Driving to church this evening he sees what looks like a brush fire started in the ditch beside the road. Now around here it may not be super dry but we have TONS of dry leaves on the ground everywhere so a brush fire can easily get going fast. So if you can s...

Re: LOL at my HOA...Baaaaaabaaaaaa
Ummm....even here in purple VA if a criminal is in your home you may defend yourself. LEOs even say the best way to deal with an aggressor is to fight them. If a person is in your house without your consent they are not there for lemonade. What are these guys smoking?

Good. I'll pass, but I recommend when possible making it available to those going to work in those regions.

We can argue whether OC statements need to be made. That's fine. Church is not the time or place to do so

Re: Knife amnesty about to end soon....in the UK
This is one of those times. It is a slow fall but falling we are. We have been for a long time. I owe it to my little ones to do all I can to resist the fall or mitigate it in any way we can. "Do not go gentle into that good night...rage rage against the dying of the light." Or at least to...

Re: Knife amnesty about to end soon....in the UK
As I recall it used to be a criminal offense with lethal consequences for a peasant (a serf) to have weaponry. Then after years of fighting for it the citizenry did away with the draconian laws. Now Brits have voluntarily turned themselves back into serfs......that is just sad.
Re: Big bend
You need a pocket rocket (or a similar small stove). We have not camped at big bend, but rather in places with fire restrictions during certain times of year. Good luck.

It is a really strange story. Really odd. I don't have enough info to say anything other than that.
