Re: Home Security Cameras.
If you self install poe systems. I imagine it is like installing your own computer lan. Buy a spindle of cat5 or cat6, a box of rj45's, and the stripper/crimping tool. You need smaller holes, and you can get the cables just the length you need. Definitely this! While I've worked in IT my whole care...

Desert Eagle replica?
I'm looking for a pair of fake/replica/prop Desert Eagles, full sized, for a Halloween costume. The only ones I'm finding online so far are >$100, or small scale Chinese plastic. Anyone have any leads on a full sized prop, <$100?
TIA!
TIA!

Is PSC open again, post-Harvey?
http://psc-range.com/index.php/newsflash/64-psc-re-open-date-set The latest on the club website says the goal to re-open is noon Friday (yesterday), but check back on the website to be sure before coming out. It's Saturday, and no change in the website news. So, dunno if the range has re-opened but ...

Re: Local recon needed -Houston
While HPD is (was?) running at 40% of normal capacity during the storm (people unable to get to work and/or patrol cars flooded), looting was still pretty minimal and I have seen very little info on social media about violence. So, while the previous advice about carrying + cell phone chargers are a...

Re: Participation in an active shooter drill
What makes me nervous is the idea of a scenario like that which played out... outside a Costco, I believe? Someone w. an LTC (can't recall which state) was approached by a number of amped-up officers, and there was no one clear leader in the group. Different officers were yelling different, contradi...

You did just fine. From what I can read you were being a Good Samaritan and trying to help a couple guys. #1 your already a little nervous because you don't know these guys from Adam and you don't know their intent. #2 they started approaching yohndu and would not obey your command to STOP! They ke...

Re: Help w. recalling gun law enforcement initiative
You are talking about Project Exile. Richmond, VA was the first city to do it, but others copied it. It was championed by the NRA. https://www.nraila.org/articles/20031013/project-exile-and-its-enemies-1 I don't know why it fell into disfavor, likely bleeding hearts. Thanks! I have mixed feelings a...
