My brother has one in .308 which he likes. Don't think he has shot it out further than 300 yds yet.

Re: Only one card to carry? HB 158
That would be the most convenient option for me. Not that an extra card weights much, but I carry a small card wallet with limited space. I wouldn't mind reducing what I need to carry around while still retaining the flexibility to show only as much as I want.

Re: My First Carry: The Wally Walk
Sounds like a great first carry. Was WalMart out of ammo? How are the prices over at Academy? I have only checked them a couple of times and thought they were a little high. Every time I compare Walmart and Academy, Academy is cheaper. Plus, Academy matches competitors prices and usually has more s...

Re: Can't buy beer if you have a minor with you?
I have been told that it is okay if the purchaser is the legal guardian of the minor (parents shopping with kids) but not otherwise. The only thing I could find from TABC was Company Policies Some retailers will insist that everyone in a group show proof that they are 21 or over when anyone in the g...

Re: Disaster Recovery Help Needed
I don't see a campaign ID on it anywhere, it just said to go to nra.org/actnow and gave me a special offer code. The special offer code looks unique so I'm not sure it will work again. Once the charge for the membership has posted on my bank account I'll post the offer code. Ah yes that looks like ...

Re: Disaster Recovery Help Needed
I don't know what mailing list I got on but I got a package from them offering a year membership for $25 with a free range bag and magazine subscription. I've been looking for a range bag... so why not have one that says NRA on it? Maybe I'll use it as my carry on on the plane :biggrinjester: this ...

Re: Ohio Election Story
Can you reference that Texas law, please? I have been repeatedly told that the Texas CHL cannot be used as stand alone ID. If by stand alone ID you mean that a Texas CHL cannot be used for primary identification such as when applying for a passport then you are correct. It can however be used as a ...

Re: Old faithful holsters
Also, the kydex on mine is not flush against the leather like it is with my Crossbreed. There's a gap between the two. Might be how it's designed, though, as it still allows for decent retention. Unless mine is just different for some reason? I use a MTAC so I can't say for certain, but judging by ...

I've only been there a few times but they've never asked to see the guns. Just told them how many people/guns, paid and headed to the range.rexinthecity wrote:How does ACS handle the check in process, do they make you pull out all the guns for tagging like Carter's Country?

I was just browsing the defensivecarry site, they have an awesome thread showing people's concealment. Great way to see how various holsters look/work. Link? I'm trying to find it..
