Re: Started working on a case for my AR **FINISHED**
Thanks. I've been looking around on CL for another soft case to make another one. Thinking I will get one slightly bigger so I can fit more things in like extra mags and a pistol + mags. I tried it on the current on but there just isn't any room without having to go all the way to the edge of the ca...

Re: Which AR?
Any thoughts on the difference between $1K and $2K in terms of what you get? Thanks. The brand name. I've never owned LWRC, Daniel Defense, Noveske or other top tier brand ARs but I've shot a Noveske before and handle the others in gun stores. They look nice, that was all I was able to gather from ...

Re: Dr. Michael Brown Estate Auction
I thought this might have been one of my brothers clients...but that was a different guy, Jon Knapp. They had the safe and since he passed, no one had the combination to it so they had to get a locksmith to come out and open it. My brother said he had never seen so many guns owned by a single perso...

Re: Started working on a case for my AR
Even if I don't like it in the end, I can always just fill it back up again and start over. The only thing I am unsure about is if I want to keep that same optics or not. I was thinking I might go with flip up sights. Maybe I can find some foam blocks to fill up spots. I am hoping to be finished to...

Re: Started working on a case for my AR
Everything dried so I started carving...some of the parts are pretty darn hard. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-PlevbRDa5Cg/UtXyNmxkv_I/AAAAAAAAYMQ/FM_9po7-1hs/w1538-h865-no/2014-01-14 This fitting the rifle. I have to carve more out to get down to the very bottom so the rifle will fit better. I ...

Re: Started working on a case for my AR
I want something a little more discreet when I want to bring my rifle out of my home to take into the car. I just moved into an apt so, I don't want to carry out a tactical bag where the neighbors can see. My question for you is "Do you play the guitar?" It might arouse suspicion from you...

Started working on a case for my AR **FINISHED**
I want something a little more discreet when I want to bring my rifle out of my home to take into the car. I just moved into an apt so, I don't want to carry out a tactical bag where the neighbors can see. So, this case started out as a Roadrunner Express bag for an electric guitar. It isn't finishe...

Re: Fun with polymer
I had a complete poly lower from ATI that I ordered from PSA. I never got to attach an upper to it. The only issue I had with it was the hole for the buffer retainer was very tight when I was assembling it. The build quality of it felt good. I just wish I was able to test it out before I traded it. ...

Re: CLEO NFA sign off in Carrollton/Denton County?
Point of reference here, Lee Howell is the Chief of Police for the City of Denton. William Travis is the Sheriff of Denton County. What about Constables, they are elected by precinct. Would they be considered a CLEO for their Precinct? No, their signatures are not accepted. Read 6.2.4 http://www.at...

If you wan to legally do the RIGHT thing, you should update them...unless you're just trying to be a cheapskate and not want to spend the $36 to update your address on both cards.

Re: Thinking about Proposing
I can say that I am grateful and blessed that my wife doesn't care about how much I make, what our rings looked like or cost. I spent a lot less than a months salary on her engagement ring and the wedding bands together. All she wants us for us to be happy and grow old together with a loving family....

Re: CLEO NFA sign off in Carrollton/Denton County?
Chief Lee Howell of Denton County will sign off. I sent him an email asking back in Oct 2013 and this was his reply: Mr. Chan, As long as Federal and Texas law will allows, I will continue to sign ATF forms after due diligence of checking the background of applicants for NFA weapons transfers. Thank...
