Re: What qualifies as a valid home address?

The address on your LTC needs to be same as address on your DL- these should always be identical twins. & you cannot have a P.O. Box address on them- you must use a physical address. in your case, I’d prob use your fiend’s address during the time you might be living out of your car.

Re: address change/ personal info change

You just simply send them an email, you can’t change that online. it’s free & easy. You don’t log in to do that, just send email saying you want to update your phone#

Re: Moving to Texas

There is no residency requirement at all. Anyone living anywhere in the U.S. can apply for a Texas LTC. (they just have to take class here)

Re: Student Visa?

That person must send a current I-94 (this is most important & what # DPS runs through ICE), hunting license, US Visa, & must have a state issued DL/ID card.

Re: Moved out of state

If you’ve moved out of state & gotten a new Washington DL- you must renew or change address by mail. The website is not set up to change your DL# to another state

Re: Reporting stolen LTC

You need to send an email to them letting them know what happened. You cannot do that transaction online during a pending renewal. Simply email them saying your license was stolen.

Re: Waiting Time For Residency Requirement

There are many applicants who are issued Texas LTC’s that live in far away states too, like Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon, etc who do not have a Texas DL/ID card.

Re: Waiting Time For Residency Requirement

There is no Texas residency requirement period. Example: you could live in Oklahoma your whole life & only have an Oklahoma DL, yet you can also hold a Texas LTC. (so long as you do the training here on TX soil). Again, there’s no residency requirement at all, & I know it’s been that way for...

Re: "Waiting Room"

You’re supposed to send in supporting docs for any arrest you’ve ever had. Do you have anything? Did you report any charges on your online app? have you ever been arrested?
