Re: Valerie Jarrett's revenge promise
This scares the crap out of me... Especially this: "No election to worry about after this..." It means that they don't really have to be loyal to anyone... I read it like they are expecting Carte Blanche. They don't have to please any particular group, person, PAC, party or demographic. Sc...

Re: Banking: Navy Federal or USAA?
Had NFCU a looooong time ago, wasn't too impressed.
Joined USAA about a year ago and can't say anything bad about them. Plus I get paid a day earlier than most of the people I work with!

Incorrectly displayed, but otherwise legal?
Ok, couldn't find anything about this when I did a search... I was at the Stockyards in Ft. Worth last weekend. I left my carry in the car because I knew that I was going to have a few beers. We ate dinner at Riscky's Steakhouse. I did not see a sign when we went in the joint, but noticed that they ...

Re: Laser on weapon during CHL proficiency testing?
Since the question was raised about "personal feelings"... It is not a personal feeling that I would not let you use laser sights. And true, I was not familiar with the obscure admin reg. But, I would not want you to use the laser because I want you to prove that you can safely handle the ...

Re: Laser on weapon during CHL proficiency testing?
I would not let you use it. But, others may have other opinions. I don't recall anything specifically prohibiting it.
You should be able to just turn it off instead of removing the grips.

Re: Dry Fire Training
Good Stuff. I think I'll go through that month long drill. Just curious, what are the snap caps for? I know what they are but what is their purpose? Someone else can give a better answer, but until then ... Snap caps cushion the firing pin (as a live round would) when the gun is fired. The firing p...
