Re: OH: The dead walk among us

¿Porque no aprende se hablar Español? Entonces él no tiene problema. Heck, he'd get more rights than the rest of us. I speak Spanish and French, and I didn't get the memo that says I have more rights than someone else. This forum is now ankle-deep in anger, hatred, and self-pity—on the ankles of a ...

Re: OH: The dead walk among us

If he were still "alive" technically speaking, the benefits would have been paid to him so I don't see what they (SSA) are upset about unless the spouse got paid more than what he would have received. If a person who was paying into Social Security dies, and he and his spouse have minor c...

OH: The dead walk among us

In Hancock County, Ohio, in 1986, a man faked his death and disappeared. At the time he had lost his job and had other personal problems. In 1994 his wife had him declared dead. As a result, Social Security paid benefits to her and the children. Fast-forward to the present day. He realized that bein...

I doubt it.

Extortion usually involves guys with no neck roughing up the victims. It's very difficult to get money from people that are killed, not to forget it being capital murder.

Re: Houston: Brothers shot by robber, one fatally

What kind of low life would kill a man for roughly $20? Someone consumed by hatred, anger, envy, and greed. That should cover about half the deadly sins. Maybe someone who ODed on hip-hop videos. The restaurant just opened so their register only had a couple of bills for change in it. Maybe. But th...

Houston: Brothers shot by robber, one fatally

In Houston at Griggs and Calhoun around 10:30am Monday , two brothers were opening a Chinese restaurant that they owned or operated. A robber "alledgedly" entered and fired a shot into the ceiling. The suspect then "alledgedly" shot the two men, one fatally. Witnesses saw the sus...

National Night Out Tuesday October 1, 2013

National Night Out is scheduled for Tuesday October 1, 2013. This is an effort to have decent people walk the streets of their own neighborhoods. In my experience, it has been mostly block parties or yard parties put on by neighborhood associations. We—and I do mean myself—don't have a lot of contac...

Re: League City: Woman kills ex-something man

There is a photo in the Galveston County Daily News where I can count five distinct bullet holes in the door of the vehicle below the driver side window, plus the window being shattered. That is one full magazine from most if not all .380s. That woman not only had a grudge but apparently did some pr...

NYPD maintains their record

NYPD maintains their record ... of shooting more cops and innocent bystanders than criminals. On Saturday evening, NYPD officers were attempting to stop a deranged man who was running in front of cars in Times Square. The officers decided that it might be a good idea to shoot the man.
