And when I apply for a Texas CHL, do I have to take the class just like if I never had a CHL? Thanks Welcome to...

Re: ND-Not mine but an instructive story with pictures
This is why I always check a weapon 5+ times before I even think about dry firing. :iagree: me to, I don't trust myself. Check, then recheck. When I did my CHL class with "That Guy" (Brian) and Tom Estep, Brian told how he has a habit of loading and unloading (and I believe even holsterin...

Crossbreed for me also. Carrying a 26, or a 19 with no issues. DONT forget the belt. The holster is only as good as the belt you have. Ask me how I know.

Re: Car Carry vs CHL Carry
Keep in mind, fireable and criminially chargeable are not the same thing. While it may be legal to store a firearm in the parking lot, they can still fire you for it. Sec. 52.062. EXCEPTIONS. (a) Section 52.061 does not: (1) authorize a person who holds a license to carry a concealed handgun under ...

Can you attend the location you originally went to (that didn't keep your records)? Seems to me that they owe you that much, since their records retention policy caused this problem.

Re: Car Carry vs CHL Carry
I struggle with the whole parking lot thing....
My employer parking lot is private property. Employee handbook is detailed around no firearms. Isn't that "effective notice"? I refuse to park where I'm supposed to, so I won't violate company policy.

Are you saying if takes less mental capacity to operate a wheel gun? maybe I need one!surprise_i'm_armed wrote:How about switching out his semi-auto's for a wheelgun or 2?
No tricky takedown on a revolver.
SIA
This is a pretty good idea in lieu of de-arming him.

My opinion is that it is better to be carrying without my license on my person than not to be carrying. I am not going to sweat it and plead ignorant remorse if required. :headscratch I didn't understand your original post, did you get cited for not carrying your license? As to your follow up, why ...
