Re: Inside Delta Force: Eric L. Haney
No disagreement with Mr. Haney. 'Tho I do kinda question the use of the work 'instinctive'. If it were instinctive, even a Cave Man (or an Aggie) could do it. :iagree: It requires training. I also think they bring the gun up into the field of view where it can be seen even if it's not in ...

Re: School Carry question -- stadium specifically
Think the problem is the stadium could be construed as a building. If it was on an open, non-enclosed field, then I would think you would be OK. And that was my interpretation until I read the 'during a school activity' part of the statute. I haven't yet carried to a game and don't intend to. I jus...

Under the new law, it looks like Sea World employees can have guns in their cars but guests can't, unless the guests are CHL or LEO.sjfcontrol wrote:Many 30.06 signs have "gun buster" emblems on them.
Edit -- this isn't a 30.06 sign (obviously), but is on a parking lot entrance.

Re: The "Utah Problem" is back in uglier clothing
With respect, in my opinion, these people are law-abiding and doing nothing wrong. That they found a loophole large enough to drive a train through isn't their fault, it's the legislature's. Their impetus in finding a creative solution also comes from the legislature - this isn't the "Utah pro...

I can reach at least two blades with each hand. If a bad guy pins only one arm, he's in for a surprise when I demonstrate my knowledge of gross anatomy.

Re: Iran is murdering a pastor for being a Christian
Historically, despots, dictators and oppressive regimes persecute and seek to eradicate those who they believe threaten their power and control. This fact is as old as history itself and serves as the grounds upon which almost every major military conflict in history has occurred. And this violence...

Re: Texas Horse Racing Track
Quoted from another thread... Pari-mutuel wagering at the location is a requirement. Correct and carrying at the racetrack is illegal even when betting and races are not taking place. Like a school building, it's a prohibited place 24x7. Contrast with a NBA arena that's illegal only during sporting...
Re: No I.D.
If you're walking down the street (when there is a sidewalk or with traffic), and refuse to ID, I would take you to jail for it. If you still refuse, I'd add fail to ID, and do a two finger lookup. Call me crazy, but am I the only one that takes exception to this? IMHO if you are willing to waste y...

Re: More mental Health argument
The woodheads are trying to muddy the waters. The facts don't support their prejudices so they make lots of noise to distract people from the fact that their arguments are steaming piles of manure. Many schools already have counseling available for students. That won't stop if sane people are allowe...

Re: With HB750 or SB354...30.06 required to opt out?
Private colleges would have the Opt-out capability anyway, but I would think a publicly funded college would fall under the Government Building clause and a 30.06 would not be valid anyway. :thumbs2: I think it goes one step further. Not only would a 30.06 be invalid on premises owned or leased by ...

Re: I'm giving Senate Testimony on Tuesday
The reason is that politicians get their backs up when "mere" citizens lecture them about the Constitution. Like a kid caught with their hand in the cookie jar. :nono: If the public hearing is only for telling personal stories, when is the time to tell legislators that infringing RKBA is ...
