Re: Filed a TX DPS SWATting report...

It's been my observation that the left brain is way more homicidal than the right brain. The propaganda Obama and the Left is putting into the minds and hearts of people from the kindergarten up is creating a North Korea version of mindless obedient robots that can not think for themselves nor quest...

Re: Could this be the end of Armslist, TGT???

I saw a short story on the news featuring the owner of The Texas Gun Trader. He said he just bought a house and doesn't appreciate Obama moving to put him out of business.

Re: New Houston Business Journal Poll

I voted and my money is on it being a rigged poll. Either that or the anti's are sending it round every lib site they can find. I don't believe those poll numbers (which are getting exponentially worse) are truly reflective of the population.

Re: HPB Response To My Email

I, too, received the canned response letter from HPB. I simply responded that it has never posted the 30.06 sign in the past so there were indeed many licensed customers coming and going armed and had not done anything there except spend their money. I thanked them for being a nice place to shop (an...

Re: Both signs at McKinney Half Price Books

My local stores are posted with both signs as well (Mansfield and Burleson). I wrote Corporate a polite letter noting I had often carried into their stores concealed without any problem but now I will be forced to go elsewhere. I asked them to please reconsider the sign against concealed carry. Hope...

Re: Dealing with an overly friendly man

I believe this guy may be living a whole fantasy with you in his head. Sadly, even small towns have their share of predators. Maybe he's harmless. Maybe he's not. Everyone's advice to you is valuable and right. I would only add one observation; Your posts seem to revolve around watching out for him ...

Re: H.E.B. and their reason for no open carry

I really don't care if a business posts against OC. I really love shopping at HEB. It's my all time favorite store for the excellent selection and prices. As long as they don't add a 30.06 sign to go with the 30.07, I'm a loyal customer. If, they do post both signs...well, there is a brand spanking ...

It sure doesn't help that every reporter covering this has been calling round businesses and asking them what their position is so they can talk about it on the news. :grumble

Re: Houston - HPD TO HOST MEETING ON NEW OPEN CARRY LAW

Watching the video of the meeting was painful at times. The public is very uncomfortable with it at best. I wish they had done more to impress upon people that we are background checked thoroughly and didn't just pay money for a license. That we are not a threat. Period. The guy who was so hung up o...

Re: Handling or screening for crazy students

In Instructor class a few years back, we were told we don't have the authority to decide who does or does not get to take a class. However...if someone is disrupting a class to the point it is interfering with learning, you can show them the door. If someone is unsafe on the range, you can show them...

Re: A conversation that seems to be absent about isis

I submit we have never had any true marshal law because we have never had a disaster so widespread that regional law enforcement broke down and the national guard was insufficient to contain it. If the electric grid was destroyed by an EMP, experts have already recently testified before congress an ...

Re: A conversation that seems to be absent about isis

I saw a news story the other night where a retired 27 year veteran (who is a highly decorated green beret) was interviewed about Jade Helm 2015. His take on it was the military does not conduct a training exercise on this scale and at this expense without a specific reason. It's not just for grins a...

Re: CHL & Your Church

My dad just started attending a cowboy church. When the SC church shooting happened, the next Sunday, the pastor told the congregation that anyone thinking they are sitting ducks for a massacre should think twice because he, or they, would be fatally mistaken. It's nice to know my elderly dad is in ...

Re: What Revolver did you shoot in your CHL Instructor's Cla

S&W K Frame 3 inch bbl .357 loaded with .38 the first time and a similar S&W K frame model 64 .38 with a 4 in bbl for the renewal. Both were original stock triggers and mfg in the 80's. K frame S&W's have a nice trigger to start with and are fun to shoot.
