I wouldn't argue with them about it but the highest law of the land says my right to carry weapons shall not be infringed, so when I carry past those Checkpoint Charlies I don't feel any guilt by honoring the highest laws of Man.

On the other hand, if it's a private school, 30.06 signs at the property entrances are valid everywhere on the grounds for pedestrians, as well as inside the buildings. Whether it's valid for the driver and passengers inside an automobile is a gray area until there's case law.

It sounds like they left some details out of the story because something doesn't add up. Were there any independent third party witnesses? Where did the ATV tracks in the "open, bare area" lead the FBSO investigators?
