Re: "Waiting Room"
They may still want the CHL-78C completed and submitted as well.
My wife has not requested the information from the other state, but I plan on helping her with that soon.

Re: "Waiting Room"
Speaking for my end, we have to request: bill of information(charges) disposition of minutes(null prossed) include a self addressed stamped envelope and $13.50 The above once received from the other state along with the Texas form CHL-78C. That should cover the additional supporting documents needed.

Re: "Waiting Room"
Did you list this on the affidavit when you submitted your application or did it show up during background review? I am not sure that she listed the arrest when completing the application online. If so and if she explained the situation, it may have been fine. The other form still would have likely...

Re: "Waiting Room"
Received a letter today about a (let's call it) legal hiccup from the past in another state. No charges filed and no conviction. On the record, but should have been esponged or non-existent. I guess the record does not go away and has to be explained. Again, it was in another state. For whatever rea...

Re: "Waiting Room"
I would think anyone else would at least return to sender. Then DPS would remail it to you or contact you to let you know they received it back. I would not think anyone would just trash your mail. Nothing new with my wife's processing status after the long weekend. Really like your username, by the...

Re: "Waiting Room"
Day 60 for my wife would be 2/13 taking account for government holidays. Unless I missed one somewhere. our time lines are almost the same.. "November 17th here" so I guess I'll just have to wait a few more weeks !!! I'm almost at the point of just saying I'm not going to receive on...

Application : Received Fingerprints : Under review Affidavits : Received DL or ID : Valid Citizenship : No documentation required Passport Photo Holder (Out of State Only...

Re: "Waiting Room"
Congratulations! My wife's may not be far behind. I wonder if she should upload her new license. Her last name was different when we took our classroom course, but we did note the paperwork that it had changed. Should not have to update it since the DPS has access, but may help.

Re: "Waiting Room"
My wife emailed inquiring about her application today and received this back. I removed the more personal information. Maybe everyone already knows this, but see below. "By statute, DPS has up to 60 days to issue an original LTC, and 45 days to issue a renewal license. However, it is imperative...

Re: "Waiting Room"
Maybe I should wonder about my wife since we are going on week 8 for hers. Kidding, of course. Fingerprints and background still shows under review. She has lived in five states and has changed her last name.

Agreed. I was disappointed how easy the LTC qualification actually is.

Re: HB375 constitutional carry getting media attention.
One concern I would have about constitutional carry would be some people carrying that do not have any training and have no idea what they are doing. I understand it is our constitutional right as it is. Just not necessarily lawful to do so without an LTC. I see the value in the classroom and qualif...

Re: experiences of being pulled over while LTC
I was wondering if they were more likely to give a warning to an LTC holder. I was surprised he only gave a warning and did not ask if I was armed, etc.
