And no mention of it being confiscated but that they noted in the bill of sale that if the ATF do determine it as stolen then he will turn it in to the ATF and the seller will owe him a refund.

One of the most common bits of advice when doing face to face transactions such as this or any buying/selling off Craigslist is to do so in a well lit, high traffic parking lot. I wouldn't aim for an area of said parking lot that completely negates this small added security measure.

Yes the 4473 record is to be kept by the dealer and the Federal government including ATF are required to destroy the records, I believe within 48 hours or they are in violation of the federal law.

Indeed a great show and hopefully less drama this season will make it even better.
I too wonder at the competitors but realize that the pressure and nervousness of being filmed probably makes them do much worse than normal.
