NRA promo in Childrens Church this morning

#1

Post by jmra »

I was elated this morning when my 9 year old came out of childrens church with a flyer promoting "NRA Air Rifle Day". The event (to be held on church property) includes 3-position air rifle and bb gun competitions. A NRA instructor will be present to provide tips on shooting and gun safety. The focus of the event will be on Self-Discipline and Leadership.

My boys are pumped! (please excuse the pun. )

Thats great! It's good to know that your church has some priority on teaching children the love and safety of firearms at a young age.

THAT is GREAT !!! :tiphat:

I got a kick out of replying to the people who say "There's no valid purpose for a 30 round..."

I'd reply "Don't have to stop everyone in the Church youth group as often. I make them all quit each time one needs to reload so I can pay attention, because otherwise it would be like trying to keep 10 kids hooks all baited when the fish are biting. So, the 30 rounders don't make them all need to stop as often.

And you could just sense them going  kids? :eek6 guns? :eek6 church :grumble :willynilly:

Teach them about guns and RULES and safety before they see the TV and gang version of the course.
