Ive tried to dig up information on this but havent found much. He's usualy wearing a suit coat so its hard to see if he's packin. Does anybody know if he does? Curious about Cris Cox and Ron Schmietts too if anyone knows. Dont know why any of them wouldnt but they never really elude to their personal carry or anything of that nature.

Keeping their status on the DL is the same tactic we all should be using. Is he? Isn't he? What fool is going to be stupid enough to find out...

Sad but true. Everybody there isnt disarmed though. Alot of folk work for the government, they are armed for the most part. I guess everybody else's life isnt worth it.

"Concealed" means "Concealed".

Yeah, but NRA HQ is in Virginia, which is a very carry-friendly state. Guess they have to leave their weapons behind when crossing the border. Sounds like "Checkpoint Charlie". :grumble

Chas., you are a member of the board. Do you know? I would like to know as well. I assume they meet in VA. I am a NRA life member, by the way.

I think we should stay away from this question. It is not really anyone's business if he carries, and I am guessing it was raised as a political issue within the NRA.

I will state that carrying 24-7 is not the only way to demonstrate support for the 2A, and may be politically unwise for ANYONE in LaPierre's position.

I did a brief google search to see who he is. American author and Second Amendment advocate ... Executive Vice President of the National Rifle Association ... etc. Seems to me that from his titles it would be a pretty safe and unsurprising assumption to make that he does carry and to move on. What am I missing on why his carry status is a matter of interest or discussion?

I believe if he wanted us to know, he'd let us know. Otherwise it's nobody's business but his own.

On the other hand, we all know that "Sweaty Teddy" carries because he makes it known publicly.
...a Glock if I recall. ;-)

Sorry...Ted Nugent.
"Sweaty Teddy" is just one of his many endearing nicknames from back in the day.
Gotta love Uncle Ted.

I don't feel the need to inquire as to the carry-status of public figures that could be potential targets of individuals with opposing views.

Call me paranoid. Call me Dave.

We just won't call you late for dinner.

I agree with the sentiment that "concealed is concealed".

I know Uncle Ted carries a Glock. I forgot what model he said it was.
