Does anyone know when DPS will publish new guidelines for LTC? Been watching but haven't seen anything yet. I assume they'll publish a PDF guide like the previous Concealed Hangun LIcense one. Just wondering..........

The 2011-2012 CHL-16 was dated October 2012.

The 2013-2014 CHL-16 is dated June 2014.

I would say only DPS knows. :waiting:

Not in a consolidated form, but the statutes at http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/ have been updated to include the results from last summer's legislature. While it's searchable, I recommend viewing and reading entire sections of the codes as needed. For example, select "Penal Code," then "Chapter 30," and click "Go." You'll get the entire section, including annotations of added and modified language. (http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/D ... /PE.30.htm)

If you want a cross-reference, you can view the text of enrolled HB910 here: http://www.legis.state.tx.us/BillLookup ... Bill=HB910. The redline format, IMO, makes it a bit difficult to sit and read the new laws in context, but if there is a section you want to see without the redlining, you can identify which codes and sections you want, and then go back to the statutes page (first link above) and call them up.

Only real solution I know of until DPS publishes the new handbook. But still, DPS picks and chooses pertinent laws, and I actually like to read the entire sections at least once a year anyway.

Thanks. I am aware of the statutes on the legislative sight. With this big of change you would think a new guide would be warranted.
