Never waste a tragedy.

BTW no one has mentioned banning the rainbow flag.

Interesting that he mentioned NY and Chicago's gun control efforts, but didn't bother to mention their crime rates...wonder why that is ?

If a white heterosexual shot two gay black news people, this would be classified as a hate crime, seems to me the same should apply.

I absolutely agree!

Apparently, the black guy hated the unarmed white folk enough to kill them? Racist hate is not uni-directional, Al.

He had purchased the most recent one about June 2015, and had passed the background check.

So, even though he was a problem child to his former employer (the TV station), apparently
nothing in his behavior had ever triggered a mental health report that would have deemed
him an "ineligible person". Sad.

We had better hope that expressions of anger, disappointment, frustration don't lead to mental health diagnoses.

A psychiatrist I represented years ago explained it as a continuum, from "normal" towards "personality defects" and on down in severity to eventually mental illness. Psychiatrists disagree about where those markers are.

Felons cannot possess firearms. That comes after slavish attention to the criminal's due process rights, or at least a nod in that direction. With mental health, none of that is usually present. A psychiatrist says you are one, and boom! No more guns!

The Brady Bunch wants to see this as it will then be possible to have a phalanx of psychiatrists label everyone who owns a gun as crazy!
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

Had a disguise in his car.

Posted to his twitter from his cell phone which gave his cell phone number which allowed police to locate him.

Victims shot in the head.

Other reports said that he had written their names on the hollow point bullets. Other reports said 15 bullets fired.

Father and governor of VA want to make gun control their life's work.

He was fired in 2013, this is 2015. Long time to hold such an anger against these two innocent people.

No mention how he got money to rent a car and buy these guns or if he was working at the time of his crime.

These crazy people need to be stopped somehow from getting guns. It's going to negatively affect our hobby at some point.

Husband of the woman being interviewed says he blames the shooter, not the gun.

Unless the economic collapse occurs first all of us at some point are going to have to make the same kinds of decisions that gun owners in states like New York have already had to make.
