Seems like the City of Houston will go to any lengths to protect Art Acevedo, doesn't it? I guess when you're a hard-core gun control advocate, whatever you do is okay...

Keep in mind that Comrade Art is no longer there. He moved down to Florida somewhere IIRC. Also keep in mind that I've been having trouble remembering correctly a lot of random stuff lately.

Could Acevedo still be named in a civil suit?

Well, I'm sure he expects to be a witness at some point. He's at Miami PD these days.

The last comments he made that I'm aware of were still supporting they had a legitimate reason to be there. He's a total waste of protoplasm as far as I'm concerned.

I received a reply back from a Houston reporter - There is a delay in Bryant's sentencing, it's now set for February 22. He's still out on bond and will now get to spend the holidays with his family. There's no word on what the government received for the six month delay.

Trial delays are common in normal times. Not surprising in whatever we want to call these times.

Are there any updates on the trial for Goines?

Acevedo got fired over there in Florida. He was "not the right fit."...laughs.
Story over on Fox's website.
Maybe Portland PD is the right fit for Acevedo.
Remember when Acevedo said we would learn all about the Houston raid--transparency.
Then the lawyers got hold of it and said--uh--no way. All sad and hilarious at the same time.

Update on lack of progress in investigation or trials of Harding Street massacre. It’s been 4 years. Seems justice is different depending on races involved in police misconduct.

This case should have been filed at the Federal level. It is a corruption case in law enforcement.

In court in attempt to quash indictments.

Improperly filed. No idea what he is charged with.

Back next week.

It’s been 4 years.

No trial.

He can be charged with 100s of crimes. This bad apple will never see the light of freedom again.

Former Chief Art Acevedo served with papers on deadly raid.

Been a long time since happened. 26th will be 5 years.

George Floyd happened a year and a half later, police convicted of allowing him to die from a drug overdose, in jail and one stabbed in jail and family paid what 27 million dollars in that case already.

That's awesome that Acevedo finally got served!
