Extreme sorrow and anger is what I'm feeling this morning.
So sorry for your loss of a friend, and especially for his family. When you see them please let them know that me and many many others are praying for them, and you too!

I am heartbroken for his wife and daughters. His older daughter was a classmate and team mate of my daughter's and I've coached her in softball for many years. His younger daughter is a Daddy's girl. I can't even imagine what they are going through this morning.

No links but heard that DPD took out the shooter with a remote detonated device using the robot.

Last I heard was that it was a self inflicted gun shot.

Yeah, seems to be conflicting info floating around. I heard it on NBC5 after the press conference but they also said it wasn't ready to go out on the air so I guess it slipped out without being confirmed.

DPD Chief stated during press conference on Fox news that device was detonated:
The suspect was killed when police sent a robot into the area in the El Centro Community College parking garage to detonate a bomb after negotiations went nowhere. Before he died, he had claimed that explosives had been set around the city, and much of downtown Dallas was locked down while police searched before determining there were no bombs.

Condolences to your friend's family and friends, as well as to all of the slain officers families.

I share your feelings of sorrow and anger, as well as sadness as to what our country is devolving into.

Ok, thanks. I must have missed that when my phone was buffering on the live stream.
