Houston: Kick-in burglary, baby shot

#1

Post by seamusTX »

In northeast Houston near Castilian & Uvalde Road Tuesday, two fine gentlemen allegedly kicked down a door and for some reason fired shots that wounded a 4-year-old girl. The "suspects" were arrested. Handsome guys, the most refined criminals since John Dillinger.

I don't know that area. It sounds like a targeted crime.

Not the best area in town, obviously. Quite a large contingent of Katrina transplants settled into that area and have put down roots there, committing their unique brand of mayhem, even five years later.

These He-men shot a 4 year old girl in the back? Get a knife. It's cuttin' time.

Shooting a four year old in a robbery should equal execution as far as I am concerned.

It should be noted that the bullet went through a door and struck the four-year-old.

In other words, they didn't target her, but shot randomly/carelessly/recklessly.

Still a couple of low-lifes.

That's why it's aggravated assault—reckless injury of a human being with a firearm. 5 to 99 in the slammer.

Probably the prosecutors can heap on some priors and other aggravating factors. Geniuses like this have a weird habit of carrying their drugs while committing crimes. Probably the weapons were illegally obtained, in which case call in the feds.

I have a cousin who lives about 1/2 mile east of there and it was a pretty bad area before Katrina.
