No mention of what happened to pizza guy. I hope he is still employed and not in legal trouble.

I think it is nice the NY media even covered a positive gun use story.

Especially since there is no "registration" per se in NY. To own a handgun, you must have a "Pistol Permit" which is defacto registration, but as much registration of the owner as the gun, and to carry you must have a carry permit, but to say "The gun was properly registered." is a misstatement, but that is typical of the unknowing media.

Northern New Yorkers have a whole differant attitude on firearms for protection. I think they should split from Southern New York. ( The 5 Bouroughs that make up NYC and Long Island)

BTW I just got back from NYC and New Jersey and while I was there I visited my Cousins( Flaming Liberals)
I just love showing them pictures of my daughters who just happen to be at PSC with me and shooting my AR.
IT makes this Texan proud.

They're not ignorant, they're liars and they want to convey the impression that registration is normal. Hence, an unregistered gun is suspicious. I constantly run into the same thing in novels...sometimes it is ignorance, but sometimes the other gun related information is so accurate it seems unlikely that the author doesn't know that guns aren't registered in the locales where the novel takes place. And of course, Hollywood is a prime purveyor of the same disinformation about registration, and for the same reason as the MSM.
