Sad situation. The initial report says he saw suspects matching the description from a reported earlier shooting and approached the vehicle alone. I hope they catch the remaining person they're looking for quickly and without any further loss of cops lives.

RIP, good officer. It seems counter-productive to me that people who moan about the militarization of police forces and police being too quick to use lethal force would continue raising the ante.
