And apparently one American bystander who was hit in the head by stray bullet. He survived.

"LONDON — An American bystander was struck in the head by a stray bullet fired as police killed the London Bridge terrorists, an eyewitness told NBC News.

Authorities said the wounded civilian was expected to survive. Police have not revealed any details about the individual who was accidentally hit in the hail of 50 bullets that ended Saturday night's van-and-knife rampage."

Footage of the killer, who is understood to be aged 27 and of Pakistani heritage, has also emerged from a Channel 4 documentary last year in which he is seen among a group of radicals unveiling an Islamic State flag in a London park.

Move along. Nothing to see here.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has called on the British government to cancel a state visit by President Donald Trump.
So, the mayor has no problem requesting a ban on a allied head of state, but lets invite the "refugees" causing issues in your own city/country? :banghead:

Boohoo....who cares what the invasion friendly mayor of London thinks?
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

Weg wrote:Just read that the first officer to respond to the attack was armed only with a baton, and was seriously injured. I'm going to assume it was not that officers choice to only be armed with a baton, but rather the policy of the department he/she reported to. Amazing stupidity. Prayers for that heroic officer, and shame on those that made him under armed.
Evidently it is the officer's choice in a lot ofcases.

"The Commissioner ordered an increase of 600 highly-trained specialist officers after the attacks in Paris in November 2015.

But he then expressed concern about the treatment of officers involved in shootings.

One officer was charged with murder and acquitted in 2015."

"But Hogan-Howe will say that officers are concerned at what might happen if they have to use lethal force: "This a dangerous place to be - in two ways.

"We simply don't have enough people now wanting to do these jobs. The failure rate in training is high.

"Secondly, we can't afford to have officers think twice because they fear the consequences of shooting someone."

Their attitudes may be changing, even though the mayor would simply say that terrorism is part of living in a city like London.

I went to school there, and while in some areas there are always armed police and military, there is still a foreign view of armed anybody in the UK. When they found out I was from Texas, I got bombarded with questions about guns and self defense.
Coincidentally, I stayed in Southwark, very near the Borough Market (great place to eat) and I walked through Westminster daily.

Just worked my way thru this thread; a few observations
- re: what if somebody targets muslims? Well, we're seeing that now.....
- re: why don't that good muslims drive out, turn in, re-educate the radicals/imams/etc. Oh you mean the way the moderate blacks here in the US have dealt with Farakhan, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, the Black Panthers, the BLM, etc.?
- re: unarmed London street cops. How 'bout they train the Bobbies, issue them a pistol, and make them carry concealed. That way they can cling to their continental delusion of "we're all CIVILIZED people here" (I'm of irish descent, I know EXACTLY how civilized they really are) and not burst the population's liberal bubble...

I think bursting the bubble is the only way they're going to fix that mess over there. Notice how when a faulty refrigerator catches fire and causes an apartment tower to go up in flames because a cladding that met building codes was used, the country calls for heads to roll and folks to be held accountable.

But when a terrorist shoots up a bunch of people, they all say, we won't let them get us down.
