TX: Fort Bend County father of four murdered trying to sell his Audi

He had been missing for a few days. His body was found stabbed to death behind a dumpster. RIP

He was selling his Audi, left to meet a potential buyer.

I remember a while back a man in a wealthy neighborhood was selling his Porsche. They agreed to meet at his home. The man arrived in a Taxi.
He murdered the man, and drove the car to Los Angeles. Apparently he needed a car to get to LA. Crooks who steal cars to commit a crime, usually don't do this as they know how to get stolen cars without killing someone. Obviously this car is not something you would want to hang on to here in Houston, so I suspect this murderer, like in this Porsche case is already in another state.

Its not surprising that selling a car yourself has become so difficult in today's world. A lot of people use Autotrader. I keep my cars a long time, I wonder if subconsciously, this is why.

Based on the title I thought the story was going to be he was murdered while trying to sell his Audi and 4 kids.

Always meet buyers at somewhere safe, like police station in a good neighborhood.
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

I wouldn't go out at 9:00 PM to meet a stranger who wanted to give me a Ferrari.

Found a little more: He went to meet up the person through the LetItGo app. The person used a fake profile and had a reloadable phone.

The burner phone is not answering.

9:00 at night near Highway 6 and Bellaire would never be an ideal choice to meet.

This is a very sad situation, but this is the best advice.

I just went through the process of selling a truck and I always met people at the Hurst police station. They have a couple parking spots set up for meeting to sale things and have a camera proving 24 hour surveillance. Fortunately, or unfortunately that it's actually needed, a lot of police departments have set up safe areas for people to meet to sale stuff. My thought is, if you won't meet me at a police station I have no business dealing with you, but it gives security to both parties so give me some credibility as well.

Oh, and always carry when doing business with strangers.

Our local PD has the same... great idea and anyone not willing to meet there is someone you certainly don't want to meet elsewhere.

+1 for meeting at the local PD.
Sold a car last year this way.
Even as a buyer, I would appreciate hearing the seller ask me to meet at the local PD parking lot.

We need common sense phone control. :???: It’s time to have a national conversation about burner phones.

It's time to ban burner phones.
It's fine if you disagree. I can't force you to be correct.

So his body was found in the Third Ward. Well...

Wonder where the vehicle is now....

20 and 15 yo suspects arrested. The 15 yo a girl.

Being charged with capital murder. Did not leave the city as I suspected.

They looked up "how to dispose of a body" on the internet.

Usual suspects.

Like the murder of the woman in the gas station yesterday: what was the plan?
