Austin: "I'm a UT student! You can't arrest me!"

Apparently she was wrong.
Drunken student crashes car into restaurant at 0200. Totals restaurant, but luckily it was closed and no fatalities.
UT cops nearby hear the noise and respond. They pried her out of the car and she got feisty with them almost immediately. They told her that since the wreck was not on campus APD would respond. She got feistier. I think when APD got there (story is not clear on this) she snatched her ID away from the cop which led the cops to pull out the cuffs. That's when she issued her battle cry:
"I'm a UT student! You can't arrest me!"
When the police (I think APD) asked her if she intended to fight them, she said "Yeah!"
Welp.
She got cuffed and carried to the police car, a ride to the tank, a portrait suitable for framing on a mugshot website, and as a reward for her continued spirited defense of her right to be arrogant, the Rosemary Lehmberg chair and suite.
Unfortunately she put a lot of innocent people out of work because she trashed the restaurant with her car. It had just opened in July, and the owner estimated it would take a couple months to rebuild and open again. (Incident was on 9 Nov).
She's a student in the College of Communications. I assume the means some kind of budding journalist.
